Cheese cutting/slicing machine

Hello- Just saw a show on pbs about the Higgs particle and there was a scene where they were in a family home at the dinner table. The father was turning the handle of a device in circles over what looked like a round chunk of Parmesan. It was pinned in the center and a blade scraped around the top producing super thin ribbons of cheese. Has anyone seen this device or know what it is called?
I want one.

It is an apple corer, peeler, and slicer. He was cutting apple slices. I have one. You can usually find one at cooking hardware places.

Not an apple corer. It is a Boska Holland Geneva Cheese Curler. Can also be used with chocolates. Found it by searching for "cheese scraper". FYI.
