Sure wish we had a chat room for widows/widowers (christian). Do you think we could put in a request. I have found 2 or 3 but not christian. I just log out when the talk gets dirty.One on this forun would be awesome.

In the meantime you can me can keep this thread at the top by continuing to post to it and hopefully drawing folks in to see what we got going in this thread.....

Crash, sounds like a winner to me. It really does help to talk to someone going thru the same thing.

So here we go keeping this thread at the top! Today is sunny and a bit breezy in downtown DC but the SUN is out and it warms my soul.

The Superintendent on my job got me a plant from the lobby of the building we are renovating so now our new construction office has a little bit of green in it. And something for me to care for or kill!!! Let's root for care for!

Crash, I would not do a better job, because I tried maintaining a little piece of land at the back of my house that I called a garden and I grew more weeds than vegetables!

Right now, I have alot of school work to do, but I have been procrastinating as usual and putting it off for later.

Has anyone ever heard "God Blocked It" by Kurt Carr? That song really ministered to my heart this morning.

it was 68 today in Louisiana, 48 yesterday, we are in for some thunderstorms tonight. I found somewhere to go tonight....church.
It helps if I stay busy. God bless

Staying busy is really good just make sure you don't stay too busy or do too much that you exhaust yourself. I was guilty of that - cleaning out a 10'x 12' storeroom. Most of the stuff went out the door pretty easy. I am down to a 5' x 5' sized storage area and that is shortly to be reduced to 0.

Did you not have a Church home previously? I am glad you found someplace to go and worship.

I am rooting for you and for this thread to become a little popular.... Maybe we need to throw an Open Thread Party?? LOL

Have not heard of the song God Blocked It - sounds nice. The name gives me a picture in my head of God protecting me and all of us. I will have to search it out to listen.

Helen, - keep this thread alive go shake the bushes for more chatters -. I don't have Internet access for the next few nights as I am staying with my Mom. She had breast cancer surgery on the 11th. So far everything is testing clear. Will see the surgeon on the 19th for staging. Will be back Saturday.

Helen,

I got a bonus of Internet time I needed a special shirt to wear for Grandparents day at my grandson's school Friday morning and decided that it was easier to come and get it tonight than driving in rush hour traffic Thursday - so with that in mind wanted to stop in and say hi and see how you are doing.

Thank you for the prayers. She is doing much better than I expected. A friend came and stayed with her today so I could go to work for some meetings. She is on her own tomorrow and Friday as I have got to return to work full days. My oldest brother and wife are taking dinner up to her tomorrow and will eat with her so that will be a break for her and me. I am not into doing dinners these days after a long day. I usually just eat a little light something in the evening. Had to swear off all of the good stuff.

Hope to be able to post again at lunch and to return home for good Sunday after Church. Take care Lady!
