Generally speaking the darker they are the more likely they are to be something that needs to be taken care of pronto.

I'd get them seen. Usually they aren't cancer, but sometimes they can be precancerous--something that might develop into cancer. If they're precancerous they can sometimes be treated without surgery or the doctor will tell him to leave them alone but let him know what to watch for.

I just read that kidney transplant patients are at a higher risk for skin cancer
and my husband had a kidney transplant that is why I am trying to see what I can find on it all
