Hbr 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset [us], and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Hbr 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of [our] faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hbr 12:3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
Hbr 12:4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.
Hbr 12:5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
Hbr 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
Hbr 12:7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
Hbr 12:8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
Hbr 12:9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected [us], and we gave [them] reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
Hbr 12:10 For they verily for a few days chastened [us] after their own pleasure; but he for [our] profit, that [we] might be partakers of his holiness.
Hbr 12:11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
Hbr 12:12 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;
Hbr 12:13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
Hbr 12:14 Follow peace with all [men], and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
Hbr 12:15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble [you], and thereby many be defiled;
Hbr 12:16 Lest there [be] any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.
Hbr 12:17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.
Hbr 12:18 For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,
Hbr 12:19 And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which [voice] they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more:
Hbr 12:20 (For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart:
Hbr 12:21 And so terrible was the sight, [that] Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake
Hbr 12:22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
Hbr 12:23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
Hbr 12:24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than [that of] Abel.
Hbr 12:25 See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more [shall not] we [escape], if we turn away from him that [speaketh] from heaven:
Hbr 12:26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
Hbr 12:27 And this [word], Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
Hbr 12:28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
Hbr 12:29 For our God [is] a consuming fire.
Rienhardt Bonneke, an evangelist held a crusade in Lagos Nigeria in November 2001 right after 9-11. There was a Nigerian pastor who died. His wife took his coffin to that crusade and laid his body on a table underneath the area where Rienhardt was preaching and he came back to life.
There is a video out now about the entire account how this Pastor Daniel Ekechukwu there is a book and a film called Raised from the Dead.
In this Pastors account I paraphrase the story...He was saved and a pastor of a church...he and his wife got into a quarrell and his wife slapped him...this was on a thursday night..he would not forgive her, would not eat that night or the next morning got dressed and left the house in his car.
On the road in his car he had an accident and was carried in an ambulance to the hospital with his wife in the back of the ambulance with him laying her hands on him and praying for him and rebuking the spirit of death. Daniel said there were 2 "men" who came into the back of the ambulance...They glowed a flourescent color their eyes were bright and their clothes looked like they were attached to them and they also were flourescent. They lifted him up off the strectcher in the back of the ambulance...one under each arm. As he was leaving the ambulance he turned around to see his wife still praying over his body.
Upon exiting the ambulance they were immediately in another place. Daniels said I don't know how whether we turned left or right or went straight up I don't know. He was in paradise...The 2 angels left him there and as he turned to see where everyone was he thought to himself where is everyone? Then another angel appeared and came closer to him and put his hand on Daniels shoulder. This angel told him that the other two angels had done their job and deposited him there with the book of his life that they had written.
These two angels names were Goodness and Mercy. Daniel says they follow you all the days of your life and if you are borne again they are the ones to escort you to heaven if you leave before the rapture. They keep and accounting of all your days and the works of those days. The only one that can open or see it is the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit can let you know what is in that book and you can fix what ever account is against you if you repent. Daniel was taken by this angel to see his mansion in heaven...The angel said to him the mansions are ready but the saints are not. Daniel said there was no gate on or in paradise or the place where the mansions were.
Then the angel took him to a place where it looked like an iron wall or gate and on the top of the gate written in strange language that he could not read...but his heart could...was written Welcome to the Gates of Hell. The angel reached up with one hand and pulled down the wall gated area with his hand.
Daniel said in paradise and heaven everyone wore white and were glowing like flourescence. But in this place called hell the people had their own actual skin colors. The people were screaming. Daniel said he saw one who kept tearing there breasts and genitalia ripping at their flesh...but the flesh grew back together and then the ripping and tearing then grew back together then ripping and tearing growing back together repeatedly...The angel said that was sin was fornication...it wsn't dealt with in their lives so they live in eternal torment now. Daniel remembered the passage of scripture which says if your eye offends the pluck it out it would be better to go into heaven maimed or blind etc than to have both to end up in hell fire.
Daniel said in this place called hell was no fire but the lake of fire which is the second death after the resurrection of the last days. Then satan and those tormented ones in hell are put there in the lake of fire.
Ok Daniel is saved and a pastor...the angel told Daniel you must stay here. Daniel shouted and said no I'm saved the blood of Jesus etc etc...this angel said I can't hear that Daniel...your sin has put you here...What sin Daniel asked??? The sin of unforgiveness the angel said. If you don't forgive others and show mercy to them neither will your Father in heaven show mercy to you. I'm sorry Daniel to hell you must go.
Meanwhile back on earth his body laid on a table inside the crusade area...and he came back to life.
The message in the part I heard was Daniel came back and said he forgave immediately and he said a "blanket prayer" saying if anyone ever sins against me I lay not sin to their charge I've been freely forgiven So I freely forgive all right now in case I die again without a chance to forgive.
Another point is that we are called to holiness...if we are being dealt with in an area say don't smoke cigarettes because you are being disobedient or defiling the temple of the Holy Spirit and we say well yeah but it's really not a sin and I can't help myself..cigarettes won't send you to hell they just make you smell like you've been there. BUT the Holy Spirit says don't and you do it...you better repent and ask forgivenss and ask to help you to not do it anymore. Like any addiction or lust of the flesh or lust of the eye or pride of life if we don't deal with it and we are God's sons and daughters he will chasten us...which we can say is not fun...but He loves us and wants us with Him so we must endure it and thank Him for it and repent and turn from whatever we are being chastened over. If He doesn't chasten us we aren't His. If He does chasten us and we turn great ...If He chastens us and we turn not then...if we die unrepented...we will go where Daniel almost ended up I'm afraid. Read Hebrews again above and see if it doesn't say the same thing.
