Is America being chastised by God?
I am probably more opinionated than Bill OReilly; I guess that means I am a crotchety old fuddy duddy; or I may have something worth while to say. So then here goes:
America was a new nation; conceived in liberty and dedicated; to the
Proposition that most people were created equal; until the nineteen sixties; when we started realizing that others were also equal recipients of Salvation which Jesus Christ gave us; if we would only take it cause it is free; when Americans started understanding who the people were; that helped free the others; whether white, black, yellow, or red etc.
During our war tween the states people died to set others free. Not many think of that in this gimme everything time.
I was too young but I remember reading the old history books (which taught true history) in the early nineteen fortys and fifties (which todays teachers are trying to indoctrinate todays children with) that socialist stuff that is all lies; which is why today, American History (as a subject) is being forgotten and young people have no idea about reality.
Lets take a walk down the American History lane.
Our nation (see the movie FIRST LANDING at your local library on DVD and at "THE WALLBUILDERS.ORG) was first claimed by the Preacher at Jamestown in Virginia as the first British settlers; these men claimed it for Jesus Christ; before it was fought over by the Patriots and British in the third quarter of the sixteenth century; (on that basis) on the Rock of Jesus Christ I make the claim that we are a Christian nation.
We had a war with the British over this North American Continent and slavery was not being practiced. Slavery was introduced by the Muslims centuries before this (click on Muslims in History) and the slaves were white as well as other colors (so it didnt start in America) it started in what we call the Middle East; as a colony of the crown, which we were until we decided to revolt, using taxes as our reason for revolution in the seventeen seventies; we created an army.
I think that is when George Washington came into the picture.
His Mother had been praying George would not get involved at that time; she followed him right up to his joining, then she begged him not to go; he relented as a good son would because of her praying for him. She said God had something else for him (mothers have that sixth sense
There were so many coincidences involved with America; it is
uncanny.
Then we had that war between the states when hundreds of thousands of our people were slaughtered because God hates slavery; I think Pres Lincoln stated that as the reason for that war. (Then somewhere along the way) Americans were became influenced by people of wealth, like the Hearsts and the Maine; (remember the Maine) that was another war.
Then we were involved in a just war; as WWI started.
Again; had another war a war to end all wars as America saved the world from tyranny and dictatorship.
We then rebuilt Europe, and as much of the west as communism would allow (Macarthur was correct) while millions were persecuted and murdered by that communism; there and in Asia, Africa, the Middle East and everywhere else..
Then America was listening to outside influences; the United Nations; where others were making our choices instead of listening to God like our founders told us to.
We became involved in North Korea, where the UN told America what to do; and we still may have some POWs there; then the French handed us Viet Nam; more possible POWs.
As the song says; When will we ever learn?
May God bring us back to Himself; and shape us back into the people we once were; the people who love Him; may God watch over America and each of our Military personnel on the day we revere in remembrance.
2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways;
THEN
will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
