Anyone else heard this?

The Glory World
I am shut away for a few days studying and meditating on “The Glory of God.”
A text just reached me that an outstanding teacher and gift to the Body of Christ, Brother Charles Capps, has departed earth for The Glory World.

Oh, the crowd who must have met Brother Capps. His family. His peers. The millions he’d reached and taught the good Word of the Lord. The angels he’d written about.

Wow... just watched him yesterday. He was one of the most underrated WoF giants in God's Kingdom. Now he's in glory supping with Jesus, and uniting with everyone he has touched with the Word when they were on earth...

Not to mention...Wow! What a party. (Wm. Seymour, Parham, Kenyon, Wigglesworth, John G. Lake, Jack Cole, Bosworth, Kuhlman, McPherson, Branham, A. A. He's been my favorite teacher for the last while.

I'm learning a lot studying his material.

I like how he gets to the point and makes things clear and simple.

He was a powerful example of how to walk and talk faith.

He BLESSED me with his teaching of The WORD of God. He BLESSED me by being such a stalwart man of faith and integrity. He BLESSED me by being so kind and ever ready to minister to my family.
Charles preached in our meetings on many occasions and always took us all to higher levels of awareness of faith in The LORD Jesus and His WORD.
Not only that, he’s one of the best pilots I’ve ever flown with and the best fisherman I’ve ever fished with—and all of it, by faith!
On Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, heaven became even brighter when Brother Charles went home. I’m looking forward to seeing him again.
Until then, I will miss him!

Charles preached in our meetings on many occasions and always took us all to higher levels of awareness of faith in The LORD Jesus and His WORD. Not only that, he’s one of the best pilots I’ve ever flown with and the best fisherman I’ve ever fished with—and all of it, by faith!
On Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, heaven became even brighter when Brother Charles went home. I’m looking forward to seeing him again. Until then, I will miss him!

Charles Capps told his bride, Peggy, on Friday, February 21, 2014 that he was going home on Sunday. He went to bed on Saturday night and woke up in Heaven about 5:30 Sunday morning, February 23, 2014. He is survived by his wife Peggy and his two children, three grand children, and two great-grandchildren.

I can remember how built up I was when I read his book on prayer. I was so encouraged! I remember when I was in Arkansas on a holiday and popped into the rent car and heard his "The Word is working mightily in me!". The Lord fed me so wonderfully.

I heard him speak this morning and it saddens me to think he is gone and left us behind!

I know that testimonies such as ours go into the book of his life and its testimony.

Dear Partner of Charles Capps Ministries,

As you may be aware, we are rejoicing and celebrating my father's promotion to heaven on Sunday, February 23, 2014. My Dad informed the family and close friends on Friday that he would be going home to heaven in 3 days, on Sunday. After having some final words with family and friends on Saturday, he went to bed, went to sleep and never awoke. (He said, "I want to go in my sleep.") My mother, sister and I had the privilege of being with him that day. Charles Capps was a man of integrity, a man of his word and he got what he said. Although we will miss him dearly, his ministry will continue as long as people want to hear the teaching of the Word of God.

Be assured that the Concepts of Faith Radio and TV Broadcasts will continue as usual. Books will be published and newsletters mailed. Your donations will be used to support these ministries as they always have. The office staff will take care of our partners and do what they have been doing for the past 36 years. The only change we anticipate at this time is that more people will want to hear this life changing message!

The Word of God is timeless and knows no bounds. It has ministered to thousands of people where Dad never visited personally. The anointing and power of the Word are the same whether he was present or not. Several years ago my Dad asked me to continually keep the teachings available to minister to the body of Christ. In anticipation of that, he and the Board of Directors of Charles Capps Ministries put me at the helm of the ministry to facilitate that transition. My mother, Peggy, my sister, Beverly, my niece and nephews will see to it that these letters and pamphlets he wrote, his books and teachings will continue to be distributed through future generations, even long after I am gone!

You may have received our quarterly magazine recently with a letter from Charles Capps inside and information on our Radio and TV Ministry. In January, Dad had personally asked me to focus on the broadcasts and stations where the program was airing because he was so excited about the responses we were receiving from you, our listeners. Looking back on that conversation, he was celebrating just how many lives God is reaching with this message of faith.

What a blessing Charles Capps was to the Body of Christ—one of God’s world-renowned generals with keen insight and a gift for teaching the Word of faith.

I'll never forget the time when Charles was in my office at our church. I had a sign on my desk that read, “God Is in Control.” Charles said, “Brother Dollar, that’s not necessarily true. If God is in control, then He’d be in control of all the bad things that happen on earth. No. God has given you and me dominion on this earth. God gave man a 6,000-year lease to use his authority to bind and loose things on this earth. Certain things happen because man expects God to do something, when, instead, he should be executing his God-given authority.”

I’ll always be eternally grateful to God for allowing this great man of faith to impart his knowledge, wisdom, and insight on the biblical principles of faith into my life. Charles, you will be missed! I eagerly look forward to the time when I will see you again!

A Tribute from the Family - Published Obituary

Charles Emmitt Capps, farmer, land developer and Bible teacher from England, Arkansas was promoted to heaven on Sunday, February 23, 2014. On Friday he informed family and close friends that he would be going home in three days, and as a man of integrity, a man of faith, and man of his word, he did exactly as he said.
A lifelong Arkansas resident, Charles was born in Brummett, Arkansas on January 4, 1934. He farmed cotton, soybeans and rice in the England area until 1978, when he retired to become a full time Bible teacher.
In the early 1960’s, Charles traveled extensively as a lay minister teaching personal evangelism with D.L. “Sam” Jordan in Assemblies of God Churches all over the United States. During this time, he also spent time ministering to the inmates at Tucker Prison Farm in Tucker, Arkansas. He was an active deacon and Sunday School teacher at the First Assembly of God Church in England, Arkansas for many years.
In the later 1960’s, a meeting with Loren Cunningham led to a new venture of involvement with the organization, Youth With a Mission. Known in religious circles as “The Flying Farmer,” Charles flew his Piper Twin Comanche aircraft to the Bahamas, where he led teams of young people in sharing Jesus Christ with residents of the islands.
While continuing his farming, Charles had a “chance” meeting with a newspaper salesman and a cab driver at a Methodist Men’s Breakfast which led to a profound change in his life. He was told about the ministry of Kenneth E. Hagin and given a small book called, Right and Wrong Thinking. The concept of “what we think – we say, and what we say – we believe” struck a cord with him and he began to study the Bible in a new light. He began to realize that his words had power, so he changed what he was saying and what he was thinking. It was a struggle to get out of the negative stream of life, but soon he saw the fruit of his words and his life began to change.

Invited to share his story at Full Gospel Businessmen’s Fellowship meetings, his simplistic style of teaching practical truths from the Bible appealed to people from every Christian denomination. The requests for speaking engagements became so great after the printing of his pamphlet, God’s Creative Power Will Work For You, that he retired from farming and became a full-time Bible teacher, eventually authoring 24 books, many of which are published in multiple languages.
When this farmer from England, Arkansas began to teach 15 minute segments on the radio, the response was overwhelming and the Concepts of Faith Radio and Television Broadcast was launched. With his down to earth style, Charles taught that our words are like seeds and we plant them into the ground of our heart by speaking them out loud. If you want soybeans to grow, don’t plant Johnson grass seed! You reap what you sow.
His body or his “earthsuit,” as he called it may be gone—but his message, his words, and his voice will continue to be heard far into the future.
Charles is survived by his wife Peggy, his daughters, Annette Capps, Beverly Capps, 3 grandchildren, Zachary Capps and wife Erin, Caleb Burgess and wife Helen, BreAnne Brue and husband Zachary, and 2 great grandchildren, Katie and Corwin Brue.
