Chapter 4: The False Vine Grows




During this time many messengers came forth and spoke against the Roman Catholic Church. Each of these messengers had a part to act; to each is granted a measure of light, adapted to the necessities of his time, and sufficient to enable him to perform the work which God has given him to do. One well known messenger was Martin Luther. He was a mighty, spirit filled, teacher of the Word. Luther protested the anti-scriptural teaching of Rome. He thundered from the pulpit against it and then wrote his famous 95 theses which on October 31, 1517, he nailed it to the door of the Castle Church. He shone the light of the Word for his day that the tiny remnant of True believers would not be lost. And also there was Wesley, Columba, Calvin, Branham and many others that spoke out against Rome's false doctrines. They carried the torch which illuminated the way through the Dark Ages unto today. As each messenger passed away, it was not long until the people had formed a hierarchy just like the one it had fought. From such came the Lutheran faith, Wesleyan faith, Methodist faith, Baptist faith, Pentecostal Faith, Mormon faith, non-denominational faith, Branham faith and many, many others. The anti-Christ spirit came in and denominationalized any truth these people had into organized religions. Having a bit of the truth but with their roots still grounded in the false vine, the Roman Catholic Church.


All churches or denominations cling to their own name above His name, the Lord Jesus Christ, and have made their names great or well known. For they are yet carnal minded and say, “I am of Paul; another, I am of Apollos,” I am Catholic, I am Lutheran, I am Baptist, I am Methodist, I am of Branham. Yet we should be “of the Lord Jesus Christ.” Instead they lift up the men and their teachings.
Let no man deceive himself; “that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another.” 1 Corinthians 4:5


Churches write their manuals and teach their creeds, set up their offices and church governments. Then each claims that they, and they alone, are the true one and only they can truly speak for God. Instead they are known for their ceremonial worship of God and their creeds and dogmas. Instead of spirit-filled men, there are carnal minded men who have no knowledge of the true Word of God. Each one chatters as he pleases, or kills time with stories, politics, or disproving the views of others. Educated guesses have taken the place of revelation . Reason has replaced faith. Program has replaced spontaneous praise in the Holy Ghost. Entertainment has replaced prayer. Books written by men have replaced the Bible. When the church gets away from the Word of God it will believe anything, “for the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” II Tim 3,4


The minute the Catholics, Methodist, Lutherans, Baptists, Pentecostals, Branhams, etc. moved toward form and ceremony, and toward organized ministers that decided leadership apart from the Holy spirit and His Word, that very moment death entered in and the church became corrupted, and as they became corrupted the church changed to a powerless group of people whose only weapon was argument. It could produce nothing in the spirit for faith and the Word had been replaced. Communion, baptism and other sacred scriptures have been made the occasion of bitterest debate, conflict and a cause of mutual hatred.


These Churches are nominal Christians, Christians in “name only.” For they are not Christians after the spirit but after the flesh. They bear this name in vain, “Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” Mark 7:7 They are of the false vine. “These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever. For when they speak great swelling word of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness......while they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: ........For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein,.......for it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. But it is happened to them according to the true proverb, THE DOG IS TURNED TO HIS OWN VOMIT AGAIN; .......” They have turned from the truth and gone back to ways of their mother the harlot (the Catholic Church).

In Revelations 3:15-22 Jesus speaks directly to the churches of today. “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth; Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint tine eyes with eye salve, that thou mayest see; As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my father in his throne. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the spirit saith unto the churches.”


In this Laodicean church age, many believe they can receive the understanding of God's Word on their own. They believe that education, book knowledge, their pastor or church, or some study group is the way to achieve this. This is man's wisdom. Most believe that they have a total understanding of the scriptures. They have become haughty, high minded and complacent. You can see this as they debate the Word back and forth and argue who is right. (For they say they are rich in the word and increased with knowledge and need nothing, and know not that they are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked) They have shut the Holy Spirit out, for he stands at the door and knocks, if any man will open the door to his heart, the Lord will come in and commune with him. He that hath an ear let him hear......


You know we are living in the end time. It is in this age that the churches are now coming together. And as they are even now controlling world politics, they will soon control the finances of the world. Then, if you don't belong to the world organization of churches, you won't be able to buy or sell. You will lose all. Those who stay true to God and keep their garments clean from the defilement of this “world system” of church orders will be physically bereft. Some will be tempted to give in and will do so. Pastors and preachers will give in with the excuse that they will serve God and help others within the framework of the anti-Christ beast system. They will give in to the flatteries and blandishments of the hierarchy. The people will follow these false shepherds right into the slaughter. But in the judgment they will all be found naked. They will not be given those white robes; neither will they walk with Him. You can't walk in the spotted garments of the world, holding hands with the devil here, and then expect to be with God. Wake up and pay attention to the voice of God crying, “Come out of her(organized religion), my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, that ye receive not of her plagues.” Rev 18:4 God tells us to shun the religions of this world like you shun the plague. Leave off walking with the world and make your garments white by repentance and the blood of the Lamb. Do it now for time is short.

we work out our own salvation with fear and trembling....

God gives us pastors, bible teachers, prophets etc. We should listen to our god given leaders.

Ephesians 4:11-13 And he gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, unto the work of ministering, unto the building up of the body of Christ: till we all attain unto the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a fullgrown man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

No it doesn't.

Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come forth, my people, out of her, that ye have no fellowship with her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues:

it is your belief that all the denominations are mystery babylon. But the bible doesn't say who mystery bablyon is. You judge a tree by it's fruit. any church no matter what denomination, that is in a right relationship with God cannot be part of mystery babylon, IMO. I have been to numerous different churches in my life and found the spirit of the Lord in all of them. Just cause we ain't perfect don't mean we are mystery babylon. Just cause none of us has 100 percent accurate doctrine, don't make us mystery babylon. No one is perfect and no denoimation is perfect. THe gates of hell shall not prevail against the church of god.

Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

You say we are haughty, yet you condemn every denomination.

YOu say we can't get truth from the churches, individual churches, or study groups, or by ourselves and if we do we are haughty. . So you have eliminated every possible avenue of getting the truth. You have no solution or answer, just everybody is wrong.

your reasoning escapes me. someone saying he is a baptist equates with being puffed up? What is your denomintion? Can't you say what group you affiliate with without being puffed up? That doesn't make any sense.

That is blatantly not true. I know of no chuch that claims to speak for god and they alone are the only ones speaking for God.

which churches have spontaneous praise in the holy ghost? or are there any in your estimation? which churches don't pray? which churhces believe anything? which churches have replaced faith with reason? give an example. or is reason a bad thing? are we to be unreasonable and irrational and illogical in order to have faith? That don't float with me. why not say people have replaced picnics for faith? or vactaions for faith, or love for faith, or healing for faith, or going to the store for food for faith, or replacing faith with going to church. you make reason sound like something bad but god doesn't think reason is bad.

I've been a aprt of many churches over the years, I found God spoke to me thru all of them.
God has given us many leaders over the years, I've been greatful to rad their words.
