Please pray for me. I feel kind of selfish asking. anyway...

I have bi polar, and have been on medication for 7 years. My medical ran out and I came off my meds several weeks ago.I feel fine most the time but have been depressed quite a bit lately.

I have been reading the bible lately, and am trying to learn. Anyway please pray for me to be ableto stay off meds and stay ok!

I would recommend though that you see a doctor about your meds - you should not stop any meds without medical advice.

I feel kind of selfish asking.

It's okay -- we all tend to feel that way about prayer off and on. How God asks us to approach this, is boldly coming to His throne like children asking their father for help.

Mt 23:37
Jerusalem, Jerusalem, ... How often have I desired to gather your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you were not willing.

We tend to feel we are obligated to pull ourselves up by our bootstraps -- but His strength is greatest in our weakness. And as for asking others, hey -- we don't mind, that's what we're on this subforum for. (Pray back if you feel like you're overstepping generosity

Hi - I will be praying for you and I am pleased you have started to read the Bible. The Gospel of John in the New Testament is a good place to start, ro read of Jesus and his life. Also the Psalms - some of my favourite verses are found in those.
God has a good plan and good future for you - seek Him and you will find Him, and in Him all your needs.
By the way it is not selfish to ask for prayer - it is good to know when we have a need and to ask , that's humility not selfishness.

I'm sorry you had to stop your meds like that especially if they were truly helping you. I suffer from depression myself, but I've been fighting it for a few years now without starting any medication, so I know that when you hit rock bottom how difficult it can be Sweetie

Keep reading the Bible... God has shown me many times some great inspiration in there. It's usually what keeps me going and helps me break out of the depression

I hated being on medication, and I know getting off it like I did was not wise. It is against doctors orders, but we can't aford the doctors or meds.
