  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

My 12 year old daughter has mood swing and is going thru puberty. sometimes she raises her voice, slams the door, seems in a hurry to grow up.
Anyone else have this?
she's being homeschooled and she's doing well. She does not have a lot of social time in that though and not much in anything else. I encourage her to call her friends from school but it seems hard for her. Neighborhood is crappy generally speaking, we live in an apt.

Oh this is such a hard time. I have been there. My son went through puberty around 12 and I thought he was worse than my daughter. Lot's of love prayers and patience during a time like this. It's too bad you live in a bad neighborhood. Just try and have girly days with her and do things together, it will pass and I know it's hard right now.

I think she sounds like every other 12 year old girl I've known (including myself..I just couldn't wait to be older). Make sure that you always have time to talk to her, she may be confused about how she's feeling and acting, but if she's anything like I was, she might feel embarassed to ask about it. Make sure you open and available to her..it is a rough time.

Actually we do have girly days whenever we can! We are looking to move this summer, and our landlady gave us a great heads up! We also want to get her a pet too, but not here. Thanks for your message it's nice to know other people feel this way too.

I gave her a sheet on menstrual symptoms and I told her about the cycle which will happen EVERY MONTH. She wasn't happy to hear that, but it's true. Also, she noticed in the store there are very tiny pads you can buy. Her dad got her these huge pads. LOL Anyway these tiny pads look like tampons.
It's kind of a rocky relationship now, but I try to keep as cool as I calm and sometimes I don't and I know that. I always apologize though and things are better.
