What Really Happens To Your Plastic “Recycling”
People often ask what really happens to their plastic recycling. Unfortunately, it doesn’t matter where you set out your plastic for recycling collection, whether at the end of your driveway, at your local recycling center, or in a municipal recycling bin: Most plastic items collected as...

trash on side of road - Bing

***Forewarning on this next video, there are some cussing words (some partially bleeped out, some not) but this guy tells it like it is and he is fun to watch. Hopefully, he'll drive the point home to our audience.***
Tell us that the Earth is going to have its temperatures raised a few degrees on average doesn't seem to raise eyebrows especially after going through cold snowy winters. Showing us pictures of polar bears sitting on a lone iceberg telling us they'll die because the ice is melting and the polar bears are stranded, doesn't seem to work (especially when the public find out the photos are fake and learn that polar bears can swim long distances in water). Let's get back to the basics for educating our children about being good stewards of the Earth.
People see it daily on the sides of the road - trash, trash and more trash. Extremely disgusting look to a once beautiful area. Focus our children's attention on trash cleanup. They want their surroundings to be beautiful, parents know that these ugly polluted spots along all roadsides are wrong. Here is where parents and children can relate together.
Why do we allow this to happen? Here we are creating more and more plastic containers and there is nothing we can do with the stuff except throw it out. We may think we are recycling the plastics but the evidence shows we are not. It is piling up everywhere (and especially in poor foreign countries because we ship it there). So why doesn't the US stop this much production of non-reusable plastics. Drum role please - here is where I part ways with my fiscally conservative friends - BECAUSE IT'S NOT EFFICIENT. As Americans, we would rather continue creating non-reusable plastics because it is cheaper than to keep our country and the world cleaner and healthier. What is wrong with us? What is wrong with us?!!! Adam and Eve are rolling in their graves probably looking at how we have polluted this world. Simple and meaningful legislation needs to be drawn up (and not this idiotic carbon footprint stuff) to clean up this waste littering our roadway and neighborhoods. The heck with efficiency - let's make America beautiful again, everywhere, cities, suburbs, rural, wilderness.
And in cleaning up our garbage (especially plastics) everywhere, we may also clean up our global warming problem somewhat and would be able to transition everyone into trying harder to help slow down global warming.
