maud to dumb
dumb > bums
bums to snub
Can you scramble the letters of the original word, then change one letter to create the next word?
Yes, scramble away!I don't mean to be stupid or put a wrench in the game (especially since I'm so new here), but I must ask. I thought this game was to change one letter of the word, to create another word.
With that perimeter in mind, my question is...
Can you scramble the letters of the original word, then change one letter to create the next word? As the three quotes above? (which makes the game more fun and easier)
Hope I'm not being disruptive to ask these questions, but I need to know (being an 'a' personality) to be able to play along.
Thank you all, and have a great morning!![]()
Thank you, Chesterton, for the explanation.Yes, that's exactly it. Except scrambling isn't really required, even though it's often necessary. Like changing "dumb to numb" doesn't involve scrambling in a different order, but only replacing one of the letters, and just replacing one letter is the only rule (AFAIK).![]()
Thanks, HandmaidYes, scramble away! But only change one letter.
Thank you, davedajobauk, for going into detail like that. Never thought of it that way (haven't played all that many words games), but sure, it makes total sense."problem" ?
Not at all.........
So, you appear to ask, can you scramble the characters of the first-word, before 'changing a letter' (creating a second-word)
You may accomplish the task
in any-way, that you can imagine
Just so long as the number of characters provided
for each answer (second word) remains the same
AND only one character (letter) has been 'swapped-in'
/ changed
Welcome to our forums (by the way)
Thank you! It's just internet shorthand for "As Far As I Know".
