I have made a few male friends in Singles, they are more like sons. But I am struck with how open they are to listening to problems, offering to pray, etc. The more mature single men don't seem near as open or caring. Why is that? Do mature men think if a woman needs a listening ear, she wants more than a listening ear?
One of the best friends I have is a young man I met on here a couple years ago, I am blessed, I know we will be friends forever. I pray that not all mature men have been so beaten up by life that Christ cannot renew and restore their compassion without fear. On the other hand, I know that many women (and men) have some major issues and no one wants to walk blindly into that. I just wish I could have the friendship with someone my age that I have with my young friends.

My daughter's gone, in Texas to drive back with fiance, but she called this morning. My son's a long story, so neither kid here today, so thank you very much.
