Anyone into making stuff with chainmail? I'm just getting into it right now, waiting for my kit to arrive actually. Just wanted to see what a good starting project would be.

3000 chainmail rings arrived in my mailbox today, along with two sets of pliers. I'm on my way!

It'll be awhile probably before I make anything worth posting, but eventually I hope to have a bit of a business this way.

Wow, that looks difficult to make. How long will it take to finish a whole shirt? This is very interesting - I have never met anyone nor seen the process of a chainmail shirt being created before

A chainmail shirt takes approximately 25,000 rings of this size to finish. Thus it takes a considerable amount of time to create. I've never done it but this section took me 6 or so hours. But again I'm just learning so I may speed up.

The length of time it takes really depends on how much time you have to dedicate to the project, I've heard.
