I'm sorry, but you know what... if CF ever closed the News & Current Events section, we would be all the richer. It really detracts from what I perceive would be CF's mission and purpose. It in general, degrades the "quality of life" atmosphere of this online community to the point where it bleeds into other sections... like oozing puss. It would be good to clean the sore spot, give it time for healing and... go on. Sadly, I expect that the chances of CF removing News & Current Events are between none and nil.

I say why?

A person can choose to read or not, comment or pass it by as they choose, but to NOT POST perspectives, information, ideas, dissertations would be to loose that which makes us think........The Written Word.

Give me News and Events and comments too, I do not necessarily agree, but I do agree to allow all opine to occur to see where and how a person is factual, actual, opinionated or used by G-d to reveal something they have no idea they did.

No, I say do post news and keep finding more that stirs the mind, involves the soul and causes us all to Pray:

I read page 1 of the linked thread. Made my heart sick. To think that these same people stand on Sunday and proclaim the name of their G~d. Just not sure who he really is for them.

The majority - the vast majority - of Christians support Israel. Despite the vitriol and/or ignorance you see from some at sites like this.

I will weep over Jerusalem as My messiah did and I have done many times in Jerusalem, Talpiyot, Mevaserret Tzion, Galil, and others occasions when I am not there.


I will not as a Jew, albeit a Messianic Jew, condone or excuse sin in anyone whether Jew, Gentile, American, Israeli, or Eretz.

God is Just, man is not, No where does it say to support Israel right or wrong in Scripture, We ARE commanded to pray, we are told to whitewash atheism when it exists in anyone, including Zionism when it is forsaking God.

I would that my brethren beleive, but if murder is committed by anyone, it is for justice to prevail not a false sense of spiritual pride and ego.

These people will hate Israel no matter what she does, so I find
they generally are not worth responding too.

But Jews, Christians and others who support Israel need to always be on the watch for falling into the equal and opposite error- supporting Israel no matter what she does. We should always be vigilant and support the better elements of Israeli politics while speaking against the poor elements of the same. In a secular democracy we can align ourselves with nations and parties and yet be contructively critical of them. Sometimes extremists (of all stripes) forget to keep their independant critical thought. We should support Israel as a nation but not every Israeli government's decision or every party in the nation.
