CF Voting Fraud

I've noticed a severe swing in the recent polls regarding CF's fate. People who I've never even heard of before are voting (Which they have the right to do) and people with low (or no) post-counts are voting. This gives rise to the suspicion of the use of sock-puppets to tip the scales.

Here is a prime example (check the end of the list of names on Option 2)

Now with all this in mind, should voting continue knowing its been fraudulent?

Also, does anyone have any suggestions about how voting could be regulated and made at least reasonably fraud-proof.

Make the "discuss rules" or whatever forum the poll is in, have a postcount limit of, say, 500, and you have to have been registered, say, 3 months, before you can post/vote there.

Even then, most people's sock puppets have been registered for that length of time. However the postcount idea is a good one

It's good to have this alert posted in E&M.

The socks who are voting option #2 display slimy ethics/morality. Only a Machiavellian desired outcome.

The only polls I have voted in are sparticus1984's. The post count thing is a good idea.

Frankly, I don't see why so many Christians support option #2... closing doors to atheists seems very un-Christian.

Oddly enough, I haven't really noticed any change at all on the boards here. Granted I'm only on a few discussion and debate forums bit it seems business as usual, with the exception of a few people lamenting how the place has gone to the dogs. :scratchhead:

I'm not even bothering with any of it anymore after realizing this was all just Erwin's way of passing the buck on keeping all the non-christians treated like garbage. Compare what he said 7-7:

No more restriction of forums for non-Christians - if a non-Christian can walk into a church, a non-Christian can walk and post in any forum here. Some forums may still have gender or age restrictions, but the whole side, as should be any Christian site, will now be totally

With what he said three weeks later:

The previous version of CF is very similar, with 2 sections, one open and one close. The aim of the new system was to establish something like that but with members agreeing to do it themselves, but it hasn't worked out over the past month.

In other words, he wanted to keep things the same way, separated, but wanted to get all the christians to do the dirty work for him. Letting us think we would be treated fairly here for awhile was just an unimportant side effect.

There are two non-christian mods right now actually, sparklecat and ravenscape ... and the christians are up in arms about that too, with most of them wanting them stripped of moderator status asap, and even though the christian members of the teams they are on keep telling everyone what a great job they're doing.

Some people honestly have no concept of honor. If they had some, they'd not use socks!
