CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I got in one lil fight and my mom got scared
She said 'You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in bel Air'
I whistled for a cab and when it came near
The license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror
If anything I can say this cab is rare
But I thought 'Now forget it' - 'Yo homes to Bel Air'
I pulled up to the house about 7 or 8
And I yelled to the cabbie 'Yo homes smell ya later'
I looked at my kingdom

I wish the way I was now was the way I was then, I wish I was brave enough to do as you had and tell you that you slippin'. I think it was 08 and you went you to U of O, and in retrospect your brothers and sisters shouldn't have reacted so slow; in fact, a lot of our reactions were pretty much "yeah, so?". Maybe we shoulda acted on it, maybe I shoulda told you how you were making me sigh, but we def shouldn't have sat idly by when you started telling stories about how much fun you had getting high

Here we are now, smack dab in the present day; all of this on my mind cause I just saw you yesterday. It was great and a smile on my face started to rise, but 5mins in you were talking like sexualized secular guys. Last time we spoke you had said how much you wanted to "come back to God" and all, and yet the only thing displayed was just how much you've gone away from Him in your fall. I love you so much and will always have you're back, and yet I don't know if you won't see this as an attack. This isn't hating on your sins and frequent use of words of curse, I'd never hold against anything of which I am the worst. I write this cause your my sister and we once shared the same mission; you helped me grow in God and see I couldn't freely sin and call myself "a moderate Christian". I pray you'll come back and respond to the Lords call, I pray that you'll come back and give Him your all. I know its not dependent on me for you to stop sinning, but where would I be if I didn't have sisters and friends in Christ like you in the beginning?

Lord, I come to you in prayer again
I don't know why, but I feel like I'm sinning a lot more often.
Maybe I'm just noticing, becoming more aware -
realizing Your holy conviction is a sign about how much You care.
In these times You convict, constrict, and lead me back to Your breathed factual script.
Father, I'm pretty sure I'm on sin a million, ten thousand and one,
and yet You're still encouraging me like I'm back only on number one.
That's Your remorse, it's a force all on its own, and because of You, I know I'm never truly alone.
I'm truly sorry my Redeemer for hurting You, and stumbling in my walk;
but thank You for making me never want to just talk the talk.
Thank You Lord for Your merciful and mighty remorse, and thank you for giving a scriptural, holy source.
Thank You for Your loving ear, and thank you for always being near.
Thank You for speaking, and consoling, and blessing me with plans;
and thank You for telling me when I'm not sure I can beat sin that "yes, you can".
