CF people in real life

I recently got a chance to have lunch with a fine young lady from our CF boards. Since we live in similar territory, I thought it would be cool to actually meet another person from here (without spending $500 to fly or anything). I won't say who it is out of respect unless she decides to reveal herself, but I can say that she was a real nice woman; rather fun and intellectually stimulating as well.

I think it was great that we both got to meet a person of the opposite gender who embodied honor, faith, and honesty...there were no games, no flirty worries, just good, free-flowing, and open conversation. Boy was that refreshing! Man, I love talking about Jesus! If any of you get a chance to do this with one another in real life, I'd recommend considering the opportunity!

Stormgade4 and I are friends in "real life". We met via CF too. We have developed a pretty good friendship and I am blessed to have him as a friend I'm sure he'd say the same. Right Alex? Right? lol

oooo let me share the story of how we ended up deciding to meet. Now I know this thread has turned out to be mainly guys, but humor me . This past summer I started posting on CF more. I noticed that Stormgade4 kept posting in the threads I would start. I also noticed he was from the DFW metroplex. He sent me a PM on here with the idea that we should meet up and take a picture to put on CF. I thought that was kind of a weird idea and wasn't sure about it since I had a boyfriend at the time as well. So, I told him that we should talk a bit more and begin a friendship then maybe we could meet up to fellowship sometime. We ended up talking quite a bit on aol instant messenger and he was a good person to talk about God with . He was also good with relationship advice type stuff. A little after I broke up with my boyfriend, we finally decided to meet up. We met at a local mall and went to see Spiderman 2. We have been friends ever since and I think he's coming by this week sometime to see me! yay The End.

I met DaveKerwin in real life because when I first ran into him on the board I really didn't like the guy. So I asked him to come play paintball with us. He did, now he's one of the coolest people I know. He's made a big difference in my spiritual life and the guy's an L-A-F-F riot to hang out with.

Kelly I knew from the really real world before either of us ever posted on this board. Same deal though, he's a source of progress in my spiritual walk. It's a blessing just to know a guy like this, but I consider him one of my best friends on top of that.

INTELLECTUALLY (there we go) stimulating, you say? Cooool, hehe, thanks for the compliment! That means a lot, especially when I already think I babble like an idiot more often than not lol. But now I wonder how true that must be if I can't even spell the word haha. But yes, I agree about the experience. It was rather refreshing, and I too recommend it.

I don't mind revealing myself, btw, which I kinda obviously did already lol. Fatolia's the first I've met from CF **, but not the first person I've met from the net in general. He's the 5th addition to my list. And hopefully not the last.

btw, Eastbay...there are some pretty cool ppl I've *met* online (but obviously, not in real life) who are from Cali..there are a ton here @ cf for example, so good luck!!

I think that would be really cool also, but I've run into the same problem as a few others....there doesn't seem to be very many from my area here! But I do agree that it would be awesome to have someone in "real life" who is close to my age and also really loves the Lord.
