I always have such a hard time with the tithing...I don't have a steady income, rather a bunch of money saved up. So I could either give a large sum all in one, and then have no tithe for the next while untill I receieve more money for a birthday or something...Or just give what I have with me. I tend to give what I have with me, and not really concentrate on the amount. It may not be a tenth, but I figure it works out eventually.

God doesn't need our money. He owns everything anyway. It's a test of stewardship. As long as we give what's God's and we are happy with it. We are ok.

In fact, I haven't given a dime to the conference for awhile now. Most of my tithe goes to ministries that I believe are preaching the Three Angels Message.

If you are diverting tithe money from the conference, you may as well just take things to thier logical conclusion, leave the mainline church and go join some independent ministry.

From what I have observed of your comments over the last few months, you are almost at that point anyhow.

Don't categorize all the independent ministries together. I'm not leaving to start my own group or my own church or joining an offshoot. I will never call SDA church Babylon and I have no whereelse to go.
