CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

And that's that. The left-wing parties just need to gain the support of one of the other parties to gain a majority in the government, although if all of the remaining parties banded together in a rainbow coalition, they could still form a majority government themselves.
It'll be interesting to see the compromises people are willing to make and accept to get their policies into law.

I only have one vote but yet that still has value in forming a majority party. Therefore, as a representative of the Hawk Party we seek the following conditions to support the majority coalition whomever that may be:
1. Secretary of Defense cabinet position
2. Recognize Israel as an important Ally in the Middle East
3. A strong commitment to defeat Islamic Terrorism

1. The Secretary of Defence position is open to one who has a strong knowledge of International affairs and is not quick to use force as a means of solving crises.
2. Israel and any allied nation has to abide to UN human rights principles otherwise the alliance is null and void.
3. Terrorism is a matter of interpretation. This definition cannot be meant to refer to a single particular religion. Terrorism has many faces and can claim to represent many religions. The IRA was a terrorist organisation to the British but to the Americans they were freedom fighters and enjoyed monetary support from many Americans.
The Social Equality and Justice party does not accept the conditions required for a coalition by the Hawk party.

Yes, definitely. The sniper attacks on the border upon British soldiers I can understand, and accept as an act of war, even if I would never condone them. The bombings, shootings, and torture carried out by the IRA on off-duty soldiers and policemen, and on innocent civilians, were disgusting, and as far as I am concerned, the people who perpetrated these acts are the scum of the earth.

The Secretary of Defense has no power to neither form foreign policy nor engage in international relations. The President is the Commander and Chief of the Armed Forces and as Secretary of Defense I would be your primary defense policy advisor.
The Secretary of Defense works for the President, and while he may develop the nations defense policy and recommends the strategic course of action, the final decision is made by the President. As Secretary of Defense the Hawk Party will loyally administer the policy decisions of the President.
Israel is the only democratic nation in that region of the world, and the Hawk Party seeks to protect the right of this free sovereign country to exist.
Many wish to see peace between the Israeli and Palestinian people. We in the Hawk Party also wish to see peace between these two people but believe that we must maintain strong friendly relations between our two countries in order to influence the peace process.
We recognize that Israel is not perfect but also believe that we need to stand by our friends and allies in order to advance the American democratic values of freedom and individual human rights.
The Hawk Party recognizes that terrorism takes many forms and can be supported by many different religions. We condemn all acts of terrorism as deplorable acts of violence against the innocent. The Hawk Party stresses America's commitment to defeating Islamic Terrorism specifically because it poses the greatest threat to this nation.
The Hawk party has clarified its conditions for supporting the majority party.
As I had stated in an earlier post the logical course for the Socialist Parties to gain the need majority is to reach out to the Common Sense Party. However the Common Sense Party may seek to wield much greater power in your government and demand many more compromises to your platform than you desire.
The Hawk party knows that they have been very much beaten in this election but we seek to play our hand for all that it is worth. Our support comes at a cheap price. We only really seek to influence the nations defense policy and to see the existing alliance between one small country (Israel) be maintained.
