CF due to go offline for 12 hours

CF Software Upgrade this weekend and next week...


It is anticipated that about midnight Sunday night GMT CF will go offline to upgrade its base forum software.

As our database is massive, this upgrade may take a while - I anticipate at least a 12 hour downtime - I'm not sure though.

Once the forum software is upgraded, ALL our special features (Armor, Character, Arcade etc) will be OFFLINE. I will need to recode all the CF special features for this new major version of the CF software. This recoding will take the better part of next week, and may even take longer.

This upgrade has been in the works for a while, but I wanted the new version of the software to be more stable first.

Thanks for all your patience. With this upgrade should come a better CF interface. CF will also have a new look as well.

Not only did I check it before work, at lunch and in the evening, I linked to a website that converted eastern standard time (my time in Toledo) to Australian EST since that was the time being used for updates. Now that's pathetic.

It definitely was. I am glad for only one thing. . .it has made me realize just how much I depend on my daily dish of fellowship in SR. I checked almost fifty times a day to see if it was up. Maybe more.
