How does one become certain in their faith? Is a faith which is more certain stronger, better, more correct, more mature, or wiser?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Your Faith or trust in the Christian Faith is based on a historical Person that made incredible claims about his identity then proceeded to back them up with a miraculous sinless life and resurrecting from the dead which no person has done since or ever can. Therefore , anything that Christ taught, said, did can be taken as the absolute truth. The Christian Faith isn't based on lack of evidence or good reason but on certainty because of the person of Christ , the fact that the Bible can be shown to be supernatural in origin, and because the truths of the Bible exactly represent how man is in past centuries and today. It speaks to the soul of the person and is powerful to make deep inward changes so that a person is transformed. That's for certain.
