That's neat, never heard that before. I agree with you.

The only thing I would say is that I am against KJV Onlyism, e.g. Confusing Hades for Hell. In Rev. 5.9 altering 'them' to 'us' yet their robes were never washed by the precious blood. And saints taking their own prayers to heaven (5.8, 8.4)!?

I mean...if this isn't a dead give away. Look what their singing during Prince William's Wedding. Psalm 122! on the exact same day{Hitler}was married on April 29th. They are the true German{Assyrian} Nazi's who put Hitler into power. Their original German name was: The House Of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha . But changed it to the: House Of Windsor in the early 1900's.

God allows Satan to have the keys to the pit for a short while. Read Rev. 9.1,2.

The 1st beast is a person as is the 2nd person. The only two people called sons of perdition in the Bible were Nero and Judas. There is of course the political beast who is the revived Roman empire and religious Rome which is the Roman Church. She is the great harlot that sits on the beast of nations. Don't make these things mutually exclusive. Big mistake on your part.

Daniel tells Nebuchadnezzar what the image means, each of it's metal parts represents kingdoms then Daniel is told that the beasts represent the same thing in his dreams and visions...............
There is the 1st beast (Antichrist), 2nd beast (Falsle Prophet), and the 7 headed beast the revived Roman Empire. Religious Rome will be destroyed in the 1st half of the Trib, and the 7 headed beast in the 2nd half.

I agree.

now to top that all off John again is shown Daniel's beasts conglomerated into one Beast since the Roman empire is the only one that existed before John and during his time and it would rise back up in the future end time and Christ would destroy it
Yes.

Yes. And the Antichrist of all antichrists is Neron Kaiser (666 in Aramaic) who is the 1st beast who can't be killed in the Tribulation, because we are appointed once to die. And Judas resurrected is the False Prophet who also can't die for the same reason as both are resurrected.

you're not even identifying who is who and what is what according to scripture....................again yours is an exercise in speculation and conjecture
All is proven.

personally speaking I think the suggestion of satan having powers to resurrect to life is blasphemous against Christ since he is the only one to get the victory over death and the grave
God lets Satan take some demons and the Antichrist and False Prophet out of the bad side of Hades and the pit. Remember Michael and the angels defeat Satan in 2nd heaven and cast him down to earth in Rev. 12. Rev. chapters 12 to 19 gives details of the major points of the Tribulation from Rev. chapters 7-11.

"And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star [Satan] fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power" (Rev. 9.1-3).

Whenever you see the number 1260. Daniel's final seven is 2,520 days like all the other sevens, and it is the smallest number divisible by 2 to 10.

1260 days is a different wording for forty and two months, or a time, times and half a time...........simply an amount of time that equals 3.5 years in total..............

3.5 years in total for certain events to transpire..............there's absolutely nothing in scripture that isolates 1260 as meaning a second half to any event of prophecy.................and certainly not pin-pointing to a second half of an imaginary 7 year tribulation

not one answer you've given so far can be supported by any scripture, doesn't that even give you a hint to the validity of your premise ?

1260 days is the same thing as 42 thirty day months or time, times and half a time.

Since all Daniel's sixty-nine sevens are 2,520 days each so is the 70th seven where the first four trumpets are 1260 days and the last 3 trumpets, the 3 woes are 1260 days.

Confirm this further by the fact there are always 2300 days from the day before Passover, the 4th day inspection of the lamb, to Tisha B'Av which means there are 220 days before that to Feast of Trumpets. The 1290th day lands on Day of Atonement. And the 1335th lands on the 4th day from Simchat Torah after Tabernacles is done. Wake up!

These are locked in numbers with respect to the Feasts of Israel. Pay attention.

I myself don't know how to disprove this proof.

Even more, the Great Trib starts at Rev. 9.1 in which the 1st woe is 5 months, 2nd woe is 13 months, leaving 24 months for the 3rd woe, that is the the 7th trumpet.

It is majestic.

Will Jesus return within 75 years from when Israel became a nation (by 2023 at the latest)?
Yes

What day does Jesus step down on the mount of olives?

Jesus would step down on the 2,520th day which would be Aug. 7, 2022.
Sounds like a plan

Ps. 90.10 says 70 to 80 so 75. 2022 is 75 years from 1948. Jesus can't return 2018 because that would mean the Tribulation started last year, and obviously it did not because there was no first rapture "before the throne" (Rev. 7.9) according to readiness (Luke 21.36, Rev. 3.10).

Matt. 24.34 "generation" doesn't refer to a physical generation, but rather an evil generation, so we don't use Matt. 24.34 to determine when Jesus returns since the evil will only end when Jesus returns.

The Great Tribulation is 3 1/2 years after the Tribulation starts so it can't start until 3 1/2 years after the first rapture.

The world war occurs in the last 37 months, that is 24 months for the 7th trumpet and 13 months for the 6th trumpet.

Rev. 16.18 occurs at the end of the Tribulation. Rev. 6.12 earthquake occurs before the Tribulation starts, since the Tribulation starts with the first rapture before the throne and before the 1st trumpet (8.7).

Mountains and islands collapsing are just figurative terminology, but the unique solar eclipse and red blood moon in Rev. 6.12 are specific which are the Nov. 3, 2013 long H3 and 2014/15 Tetrad. Never before in history have two earthquakes of this magnitude ever occurred in Haiti 2010/Japan 2011. There are lots of earthquakes through the Tribulation as mentioned many times.

Asteroids play no role in end-times. It's all about the great earthquake, solar and lunar eclipse, battle over oil and nuclear exchange.

The numbers don't lie. There are 2,520 (1260th) days from Feast of Trumpets to Tisha B'Av and in other years 2,550 (1290th) days from Feast of Trumpets to Day of Atonement. Why for you are you against God doing this?

If you are only comfortable with the season that's fine, but God actually gives us the day, 2,520 days from Feast of Trumpets Sept. 14, 2015 to Tisha B'Av Aug. 7, 2022. He says you can "know" even "right at the door" (Matt. 24.33) when He returns. Heed His words. He told you the truth. I know my friend is coming over today, though I don't know the hour. He could delay or he might arrive early.

Trumpets are not the last warning, but you are in the thick of it when the Trumpets are the Tribulation start. Rev. 22 is called the Last Warning.

You can know when the wrath begins once the first rapture takes place Feat of Trumpet Sept. 14, 2015, because accusations will be all over the news accusing the brethen day and night of being a fake rapture. During this day the 3rd Temple will be well under construction and in the same month the 8th Tetrad since Christ will have ended. This Tetrad won't occur again till 2582/83. Wow!

The long H3 won't occur till 2172. And there is no unique solar eclipse associated to the 2582/83 Tetrad.

This is it!

God allows Satan to have the keys to the pit for a short while. Read Rev. 9.1,2.

REVELATION 9
1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.
2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.

you really have to have a vivid imagination and you have to really use suggestive reading if you see God giving satan the powers of resurrection from death in these verses................the first clue is that these verses refer to the BOTTOMLESS PIT..............a grave is not a bottomless pit........and in scripture is never referred to as a bottomless pit...............

once again scripture identifies the symbol of a beast as a world ruling empire, not an individual and certainly not any particular individual.....................also the term "son of perdition" is NOT reserved to any particular individual

KJV Dictionary Definition: perdition
perdition
PERDI'TION, n. L. perditio, from perdo, to lose, to ruin.
1. Entire loss or ruin; utter destruction; as the perdition of the Turkish fleet.
In this sense, the word is now nearly or wholly obsolete.
2. The utter loss of the soul or of final happiness in a future state; future misery or eternal death. The impenitent sinner is condemned to final perdition.
If we reject the truth, we seal our own perdition.
3. Loss. Not used.

according to the definition anyone who rejects salvation through Christ becomes a son of perdition.............you're changing the definition to identify two men only.................

you're the one trying to keep certain definitions limited (exclusive) to only one meaning................the one that fits your premise............nice to have that kind of license using the english language I suppose, when a word doesn't fit into my personal defintion according to my views I'll just change it's definition.......................that's what you're doing

So it's dividied into a mild/small tribulation and a great one?
I would prefer to say the intensity increases through the 7 years. It is one Tribulation. The Tribulation is 2,520 days. "The great day of his wrath is come" (Rev. 6.17); at th end are Bowls of Wrath. These 7 years are Daniel's 70th seven. The first half are the 4 trumpets in which religious Rome is destroyed by a nuclear bomb blowing up the Vatican and the earth is greatly hurt (Rev. 8; 17.16).

It starts with the Trumpet #1.
No. The first trumpet is not the first woe. The first woe is the 5th trumpet. The first four trumpets are Rev. 8. Then follows the last 3 trumpets or 3 woes. The 3 woes comprise the Great Tribulation.

After means, not during the 69th, but during the following which is the 70th.

Throw your links in the garbage. I know from the declaration to rebuld the Temple Nisan 1, 444 BC (Neh. 2.1) would be seven sets of seven (Dan. 9.25) in troublous times; then another sixty-two sets of seven after which time the Messiah would be cut off (Dan. 9.26). There was exactly 69 sets of seven or 173,880 days from Nisan 1, 444 BC to March 28, 33 AD (Gregorian), the 1st day of the 4 day inspection of the lamb. The 4 days of inspection were March 28, 29, 30, 31. Jesus died on the cross April 1, 33 AD, Nisan 14, Passover, April Fool's Day. This is a 100% certainty. There was a lunar eclipse the day Jesus died on the cross. This also works out that the 40th day is a Thursday for the ascension, and the Bible says Pentecost was on a Sunday, so that works out too, which is the 50th day from the resurrection Sunday. It is all confirmed. Don't let anyone ever sway you from this proof.

The reason why there is confusion is because you don't treat the book of Revelation chronologically. Thus, people mix and match anything in any sort of combination. It's riduculous. Listen to my words careful. Rev. 2 & 3 are the 7 church periods. The last 4 still remain with us today. There is no more Ephesus "first love"; no more Smyrna sent to the lions; no more Pergamum "high tower" of Constantine and the Church married; but the Thyatira Roman Church remains; Sardis "weak revivals"; Philadelphia brother love brethren movement of 1828; and today's Laodicean of "differing opinions".

Rev. 4 is the picture of the universe from heaven. Rev. 5 recounts the cross as Jesus newly slain. The 1st Seal is recounting the cross with a bow and arrow that looks like a cross but the arrow has been shot giving Satan a deadly wound. The 4 Seals are the past 20 centuries general in nature and 1/4 die due to war and disease. The 5th Seal speaks to the martyred Christians the past 20 centuries and says wait a little longer for the rest of your brethren who will be martyred during the Tribulation. Rev. 6 are the events just prior to the Tribulation starting. Rev. 7 speaks of the remnant of Jews who will be protected and the first rapture "before the throne" (Rev. 7.9) which is according to readiness (Rev. 3.10). Rev. 7 to 11 give the major points of the Tribulation with its 7 trumpets. Chapters 12 to 19 give the details.

Rev. 20 is the millennial kingdom; Rev. 21 is the New City; Rev. 22 is the Last Warning.

You're already in the wrong view because you deny the eternal existence of Hell. The unsaved "shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever" (Rev. 20.10). "He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone" (14.10), and "they have no rest day nor night" (v.11), for it "will never burn out" (Matt. 25.41). They "will never die, and the fire that burns them will never go out" (Is. 66.24).

Just know that free will is not truly free if you don't have the free choice to be eternally separated from God. Those who go to Hell will never repent.

The pretrib view is wrong, for first rapture is according to readiness (Luke 21.36, Matt. 24.40-42). Realize when the pretrib onlyist is in the Tribulation he will be deceived because when he sees the disappearance of a couple million people at the first rapture, he will accuse the brethren day and night of being a fake rapture. Whereas the partial rapture believer will not do so, but simply realize he though saved was not ready to be received at the first rapture.

Midtrib is Rev. 9.1. No rapture there. Pre-wrath is true, that is in combination with the first rapture according to readiness. Pre-wrath is before the bowls of wrath, so at Rev. 11.15, 14.14-16, 1 Thess. 4.14-18, so at the start of the 7th trumpet that contains the 7 bowls of wrath.

Remember,

The word of God is given for you to understand, so your pantrib view is false. There are consequences for not acquiring the knowledge of the details of the book of Revelation.

Personally, I find the book of Revelation the easiest book in the entire Bible to undestand. I understand every line. It's awesome! Truly this is the blessing of Rev. 1.3.

The three and a half years mentioned at various places in the book of Revelation begin and end at the same time. Chapters 11.2-3, 12.6-14, and 13.5 are all simultaneous. The casting down of the star happens at the fifth trumpet, which in turn marks the beginning of the 42 months (the Great Tribulation).

9.2 The bottomless pit is “the pit of the abyss”—What is it? Where is it? It is the habitation of the devil. Luke 8.28,31 tells us that it is the place where demons are tormented. Wherever there is a demon there will be torment there. The demons are in this world, thus making it a demonic world.

The casting down of the star coincides with the record of Luke 10.18. In Luke is the verdict, but here is the execution. When Satan is restricted the pit is closed.

Having smoke simply proves that there is fire within. It is hard to imagine how the pit is opened. The words of Deuteronomy 29.23—“The whole land thereof is brimstone, and salt, and a burning, that it is not sown, nor beareth, nor any grass groweth therein, like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, which Jehovah overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath”—seem like a prophecy of 29.23. For more on smoke, see also Revelation 18.8-9, and 19.3.

From 8.12 we learned that the light in the sky is dimmed by one third of its original brightness, but now the sun and the air are darkened completely here. First, the diminishing of the lights of the sun, moon and stars. Next, their remaining brightness is all covered by smoke.

Nero is the Antichrist. Judas is the False Prophet. They have died. But they will be resurrected from the bad side of Hades where the Rich Man is asleep in. In releasing the demons from the pit, so too are the Antichrist and Flase Prophet released as the pit of the Abyss passes through Hades.

The Antichrist and the False Prophet are allowed to possess the body of someone. The Antichrist might possess the body of Prince William to become King WIIIIAM V or I AM VI VI VI. Judas posses the body of someone Like Barack Hussein Obama to be the False Prophet.

"And they had a king over them, [which is] the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue [is] Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath [his] name Apollyon" (Rev. 9.11). The Antichrist is that king.

“Abaddon” is the name of a place (see Prov. 15.11, 27.20; Job 26.6). In some Scripture passages the word translated “destruction” in some versions is really the word “Abaddon” in the original Hebrew.

The Greek word “Apollyon” is the name of a person. It means Destroyer (see Jer. 4.7, 6.26; Is. 16.4; Dan. 8.24-25, 9.26, 11.44). This messenger of the abyss is therefore named according to his origin and conduct.

11.7 “The beast that cometh up out of the abyss”—This points to Antichrist. The wild beast is mentioned 36 times in this book of Revelation. Thirty-six is six times six, the number of man. The very name of “wild beast” reveals his nature and work. (The Lamb is mentioned 28 times in this book. Twenty-eight is seven times four. This name expresses the Lord’s nature and work as well as denotes His perfect relationships with God and men.)

This beast comes out of the abyss. In 13.1 it is noted that the beast comes up out of the sea, thus confirming that the abyss is beneath the sea.

The abyss is where the devils live. To come out of the abyss presupposes a resuscitation. According to 17.8 we know that this beast has died and is to be resuscitated.

"The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is" (Rev. 17.8).

Nero "was", but "is not" now or at the time of John's writing. But he will ascend out of the bottomless pit. Antichrist will be the first to go to Hell after the Tribulation is over, along with his False Prophet. Antichrist “was, and is not, and is about to come” is a clever counterfeiting of Jesus “who is and who was and who is to come” (cf. 1.4,8; 4.8).

After the millennial kingdom in Rev. 20 the pit, hades (sheol), abyss will all be thrown into Hell, that is, the Lake of Fire where the unsaved will make their homes for eternity separated from God as they wish.

once again scripture identifies the symbol of a beast as a world ruling empire, not an individual and certainly not any particular individual.....................also the term "son of perdition" is NOT reserved to any particular individual
Revelation speaks of the beast with its 7 heads as a ruling power, but that is not mutually exclusive of the 1st beast who is the Antichrist and the 2nd beast who is the False Prophet.

Rev. 17.11, 2 Thess. 2.3 is the son of perdition, the 1st beast, the Antichrist who is Nero resurrected.

John 17.12 is speaking of Judas also as son of perdition. These are the only two people in the Bible called sons of perdition.

Certainly people who go to Hell I guess would be sons of perdition, but we should not leave unnoticed the fact only two people in the whole Bible were called specifically son of perdition.

Only two people in the Bible never died the Two Witnesses Enoch and Elijah who will in the Tribulation.

These two sons of perdition I suppose try to counter the Two Witnesses, but ultimatley the Dragon tries to copy God the Father, the 1st beast Antichrist tries to copy Jesus and the 2nd beast the False Prophet is also a person tries to copy the Person of the Holy Spirit indwelling.

When speaking of people who go to perdition they are not called sons of perdition; only Nero and Judas.

Why then does the Bible point these two out specifically as sons of perdition? Is it not because Nero was the worst human being who ever lived killing Christians? And Judas performed the ultimate act of betrayal against his creator? And as the two worst human beings who ever lived would it not favor Satan to release them from the abyss when releasing the demons from the abyss? He needs his ultimate deception and ultimate army. Who better than Neron Kaiser (666 in Aramaic) and Judas resuscitated?

According to Revelation 17 and 18 the Roman Catholic Church will experience tremendous growth in the future, far exceeding that of the past. Her influence will be enormous. But when Antichrist shall arise and set up his image as an object of worship, he with his ten subordinate kings shall destroy the Roman Church. This occurs in the first half of the Tribulation (Rev. 8; 17.16) by a nuclear bomb. Nevertheless, with the passing of Rome religious, Rome political will still continue. She will make the Mediterranean Sea a center of her influence. Three and a half years later, God will destroy Rome political.

According to 17.16 the end of the woman comes when she is burned by the beast (Antichrist) and ten horns (ten subordinate kings). But in 18.8 she is judged by God. For this reason, 17.16 has reference to the religious aspect whereas 18.8 has reference to the political aspect.

Rev. 17.3 “A woman sitting upon a scarlet-colored beast”—This beast represents the Roman Empire, for the seven heads and ten horns are merely part of it; it also points to Antichrist, because even though he is the eighth head he nevertheless possesses all the villainy of the other seven as well as the powers of the ten horns. God looks upon Antichrist as just a wild beast. Moreover, He looks upon this woman as a harlot, for she is not as irrationally vicious as a wild beast, though she abandons her rationality and acts a harlot. She makes drunk the nations with the wine of the wrath of her fornications (Rev. 14.8). The Roman Church fornicates with the world.

In the book of Revelation this beast, as has been said, represents Antichrist as well as the Roman Empire. In this connection, though, it points to a man, not to a state. The reasons for this view are as follows:

(1) This beast “was”—How then can we say that the Roman Empire once existed earlier prior to the time of John?

(2) The beast “is not”—Yet neither can we say that the Roman Empire did not exist at John’s time.

(3) The beast “is about to come up out of the abyss”—Abyss is the place where the spirits are imprisoned. How can we therefore say that the Roman Empire is about to come out of the abyss?

(4) The beast is “to go into perdition”—How, moreover, can we say that the political entity known as the Roman Empire will go into hell in the future?

Since, from this reasoning, this beast cannot apply to the Roman Empire, it must have reference to Antichrist. “Was” shows that before the time of John there was such a person who once lived on earth.

“Is not” indicates that at John’s time this man is not in the world since he must have died. The phrase “is not” is also used in Genesis 42.36-38 to indicate death.

“Is about to come up out of the abyss” reveals that he is now in the abyss but will come out of it, that is to say, he will be resuscitated.

“Go into perdition” discloses that he will not live forever on earth, neither can he rule forever, because his destiny will be that of being cast into the lake of fire (19.20, 20.10), that is, Hell.

His being “was, and is not, and is about to come” is a clever counterfeiting of God “who is and who was and who is to come” (cf. 1.4,8; 4.8).

The word “fallen” in 17.10 carries with it the idea of violent death (see 2 Sam. 1.19,25,27). All seven kings do indeed meet with violent death: Julius Caesar, Tiberius, Caligula, Claudius, and Nero—these five kings all assumed deity for themselves; they called for their people to worship them as gods; and all five died unnaturally, either by being murdered or by committing suicide.

Domitian was the sixth one. He was present during the time of John. He too deified himself, and was later murdered.

The seventh one is he who is yet to come. The Bible does not tell us how far apart time-wise the seventh is from the sixth; only that the seventh one [Prince William] will continue a little while (17.10) and later be killed (17.10; 13.3,14). This is when the Antichrist takes over his body and resuscitates.

The interval between the sixth and the seventh one is filled by the reign of religious Rome. From the first to the sixth, also during the seventh and the eighth, political Rome is in power. It has been religious Rome in place of political Rome with today political Rome becoming very powerful. The GDP of the Eurozone is 20 trillion per year far above USA.

After Zedekiah was taken captive into Babylon there was no king in Israel. A long interval passed before Christ was born. Likewise, after the destruction of Rome there will be an interval before Antichrist appears from the 2nd century to nearly today.

The whole world will be well prepared for the arrival of Antichrist. Hence, as soon as he appears on the scene he will be able to do much during the three and a half years. The seventh king of the Royal Family will have already prepared for the eighth one.

17.11 This verse should be read together with 17.8, for just as 17.8 speaks of the four historical stages of the beast so does 17.11. According to 17.11 the four stages of the beast’s history are denominated as (1) “was”, (2) “is not”, (3) “is of the seven”, and (4) “goeth into perdition”.

Since (1), (2) and (4) in 17.11 coincide with (1), (2) and (4) in 17.8, quite naturally (3) in 17.11 must also agree with (3) in 17.8. Thus, the beast must come out of the abyss.

Because he is said to be an eighth yet is also of the seven and because he comes out of the abyss, he must needs be one of the seven who is raised from death to be the eighth. Which one of the seven will he be?

(1) He cannot be the seventh since the seventh has yet to come to the world (17.10), whereas the beast has already been in the world before (17.8).

(2) He cannot be the sixth because the sixth was on earth when John lived, but this beast “is not” at the time of John (17.11).

Since he is neither the seventh nor the sixth, he must be one of the five. But which of the five is he? From 13.18 we recognize that he must be Nero.

The seventh is but a forerunner of Antichrist. The eighth is to use the body of the seventh. Eight is the number of resurrection; yet his resurrection is to be quite different from that of the Lord Jesus. For the Lord is himself resurrected, but the eighth is to be the reanimation of a corpse with another soul.

This is not to be construed as teaching reincarnation. The Bible does not teach reincarnation, nor did the author ever subscribe to such an heretical doctrine. The specific interpretation given here relative to Antichrist serves only as the exception which goes to prove the rule of no reincarnation—just as the image of the beast having breath and the ability to speak (see 13.14,15 above) is the exception which proves the rule of no image having breath or speaking.

While the Lord Jesus was on earth the Jews chose a living caesar rather than the living Christ. After Christ was resurrected, people still refused to accept Him. The future Antichrist will be a resurrected caesar, and again people will receive him instead of the risen Christ.

17.12 The seven heads are seven kings, but so are the ten horns ten kings. Yet the heads and the horns are different.

(1) A horn is on the head; therefore, it is relatively smaller than the head. A head represents the entire reign of Rome while a horn stands for a subordinate king of Rome (such as a tetrarch or prince).

(2) There can be only one head at a time, and these heads succeed one another in reigning; but the ten horns can be ten subordinate kings ruling contemporaneously.

(3) Of the seven heads, one is yet to come; but of the ten horns, all are yet to come.

These horns or kings had received no kingdom as yet while John was living.

The ten kings shall receive authority simultaneously with the eighth.

Some suggest that the ten kings are a reference to ten kingdoms. But such an interpretation is not valid for the following reasons:

(1) Ten kings is the explanation of the angel, so there should be no further interpretation.

(2) 17.12 and 17.17 will not make sense if these ten kings are re-interpreted as being ten kingdoms.

(3) Since the beast is a person, the ten kings must likewise be persons.

These ten kings are different from the kings of the earth because:

(1) The kings of the earth exist prior to and also at the time of the ten kings.

(2) The kings of the earth commit fornication with the great harlot, but the ten kings have never been united with the great harlot. On the contrary, they later on destroy her (17.16).

17.13 The beast cannot refer to the pope, for never have ten kings ever given their power to a pope. Nor can the beast be an allusion to any of the former Roman emperors, since, again, no ten kings have ever surrendered their power to any former Roman emperor. The beast is Antichrist. The ten kings give their power to the beast because:

(1) they observe that the beast is raised from death, and thus consider him a superman.

(2) they are enticed by the evil spirit. The Holy Spirit descends from heaven after the death and resurrection of Christ and so the church is formed. Now as a counterfeit, the evil spirit—after the appearing of Antichrist through some kind of resurrection—moves the ten kings to yield their power to the beast.
