It's interesting the Jesus doesn't know, he is probably waiting for his Father's instructions.
THEREIN IN IS ONE VERY GOOD REASON JESUS IS NOT GOD!

"Then came Jesus ... And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God." Jn 20:26,28
What do you think this scripture means
2 Peter 3:8-9
New Living Translation (NLT)
8 But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day. 9 The Lord isnt really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.
What purpose has he laid out for you?
Thomas had a few doubts, so you can excuse him for thinking Jesus was God Almighty.
John 1:18: No one has ever seen God; the only Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he has made him known.
Scripture always puts thing in context if you dig deep enough.
Jn 1:18 θεὸν οὐδεὶς ἑώρακεν πώποτε ὁ μονογενὴς υἱός, ὁ ὢν εἰς τὸν κόλπον τοῦ πατρὸς ἐκεῖνος ἐξηγήσατοThomas had a few doubts, so you can excuse him for thinking Jesus was God Almighty.

The ἑώρακεν is in the Greek perfect tense, which refers to event(s) which occurred in the past. So, in this instance, the verse is saying "No one has ever(in the past) seen God ..."
This leaves room for the Son as the manifestation of the Father, and so Thomas correctly identified Him as that manifestation.
Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'?
yep scripture does it every time.

I have some friends who are twins the look alike, think alike speak the same, in fact once you have seen one, it like seeing the other, but they are two completely different people.
Jesus was like his Father in many respects as they were in agreement with each other, the same purpose in mind to get the job done, he imitated his Fathers Qualities and so on, so he could say I'm just like my father, when you see me it's as if you have seen my Father. Simple reasoning.
What did Jesus say when someone called him Good Teacher, he didn't consider himself his Father did he?
Mark 10:18
New International Version (NIV)
18 Why do you call me good? Jesus answered. No one is goodexcept God alone.

The Rich and the Kingdom of God
18 A certain ruler asked him, Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?
19 Why do you call me good? Jesus answered. No one is goodexcept God alone.
You have to get behind what is really being said in real terms, you then get the Scripture in context, it does it every time when we dig deeper .
Yes you have to get behind what is really said in real terms, then you get the Scripture in context! In the Scripture Jesus did not say that He was not good. If your interpretation is correct Jesus could not have said that He was the good shepherd.
Joh 10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
Joh 10:14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
Couldn't 'God' be rendered as 'Elohiym'?"Then came Jesus ... And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God." Jn 20:26,28

oh my goodness you actually talked about twins as if that answered the scriptures.lol
basics as Jesus was God in flesh, flesh is sinful, so how could you call a man Good as they are all sinners.
just basics really.
How have you arrived at the point you are making that Jesus was Almighty God in the flesh and that he was sinful.
Jesus was God in the flesh, fully man and fully God, the fact is he took our sins upon himself.
I also think his reference to call no man Good was to show how pointless trying to keep the law was.
You seem to have some funny idea's what the Scriptures are saying, we will just have agree to disagree my friend.
end of the world if you like and have ended up being wrong despite claiming God told them these dates.
Should these past inaccuracies taint what we think of those groups now as the bible says they should be considered false prophets.
