  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I have a Motorola V195. I actually don't like Motorola's but it was in my price range and all the Nokia's were out of my price range. I had a Nokia 1100 before but it started clearing out my messages on it's own....:sigh: and I had to get rid of it.

I'm prepaid since the post paid plans aren't really the most convenient thing for me...yet still I may get one just for the sake of convenience and not having to go put credit on my account.

In all, I probably use $250 a month on phone cards. $250 TT that is...that's about $42 USD.

Sweetlamb, if you have a job - or other obligation - that requires you to use a cell phone, that bill will climb higher than you ever imagined.

What type of cell phone do u have and how big was ur biggist cell bill ( im bored lol)

I have the Sanyo M1. It's a bit "flippy"...never paid for my phones before. I've always been a bit of a cheapskate with phones just because...eh, why pay? That, and I'm such a basic, bare-bones kinda girl and this thing's got so much extra glafloybal on it. Psh.

Can't tell you my biggest bill though. I really don't know..

Hmm... I guess I meant to say "stuff" or "extras," but I've been incredibly retarded lately and cannot link up my words like I used 'ter. I apologize. :crossrc:
Aw man, I thought it was a cool made-up word to describe... stuff. It does sound cooler than 'extras.'

I'm not really interested in decadent Yankee electronics although they do make it easier to communicate with...people.

Mm...perfect word choice. I've felt the exact same way. Phones are just for communicating with other people, telling your mom that yes you did intend to call her but that you just lost track of time over the weekend, listening to a friend pour his or her heart out, making plans for later...They're not for listening to music or downloading email or watching some overpriced movie ($4.99, are you kidding me?!).

Throwaround....yeah. That's why I never believed in paying for a phone when I throw mine around so darn much (or when I accidently drop it on the floor). Now, with the one that I have, I practically put a pillow underneath it every single time I lay it down for a nappy poo.

I love my old Nokia 3588i. It took a lot of abuse...cuz let's face it, I can be an agressive woman from time to time.

Now that I have my flip-floppy phone, I'm almost afraid I might just flip off the monitor entirely one day because I'm used to a phone that can take it.

Aww, Nokia

I carry two (yes, I'm a geek). I have a Nextel i730 for work, the minutes of which my employer pays for, and some T-Mobile Samsung phone, like a 610 or something. I always try to get a plan that will cover all of my usage, which includes more data transfer than calls or text messages. So I don't think I've ever gone over $100, except for one time when something got messed up and they started charging me for things they hadn't been charging me for previously.

My family has Verizon, I'm still on a plan with them. We share 700 minutes and the bill is around $80 for three of us, my dad has a Verizon one for work so he's on on our plan. I don't really talk on the phone that often and if I do it's usually to someone who has a Verizon phone so it doesn't cost anything. Before my mom and I shared 300 minutes and we never went over the limit.

I currently have a slider phone from T-Mobile, and I LOVE it. Here's a picture of it:

My most expensive bill was like $270 bucks from several years ago. It was mostly from instant messenging, which little did I know, charged PER MESSAGE the same price as text messaging. As you can imagine, I was pretty peeved! The countless "LOLs" being sent that I had to pay 10 cents for! Ahhh! But I learned my lesson. I eventually got an unlimited texting plan which was useful for awhile. I don't use my instant messenging anymore so I got rid of that plan. Nowadays I pay anywhere between 54 and 60 bucks a month. MUCH better than 300!
