  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Are we going with this line of logic again? You don't judge beliefs by extreme actions of their adherents. The worst or best person in the world could be an evolutionist or creationist, it wouldn't make either one more true or more false.

No, we need to find out how many people his dad ate, and if he ate more people than Jeff, then creationism is false.

Okay, my last food question.

Celery is effectively a negative-calorie food; that is, the human body burns more calories digesting it than are contained in the celery. So you have two guys stranded on their desert islands. One has no food at all, the other has no food except celery. Seems ironic, but isn't it possible the guy eating celery could die of starvation before the guy with no food? He would get some nutrients, but he'd be depleting his body's caloric energy/fuel at a faster rate.

What are your thoughts on this very important topic? :D

I think the key is to have some Cheez Wiz along with the celery.

IMO, the only time Cheez Wiz is edible. :D
