  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Pull-ups smell bad enough new let alone dirty. I babysit kids who use them and I deal with them only because I'm paid to.

My favorite diapers are Chinese pre-fold and a couple pins. On the hot days he'll run around in only a diaper and stays nice and cool. Even more so since he gave up peeing in the potty.

We got our pfs from little lions....but I can't fold/pin them to save my life! J is just too wiggly!

We did, however just order two more chunky monkeys (I need to stop)...and I can't wait to get them. They are going to be personalized for him. He loves his dipes!

I'm really sad, though. He peed in the potty today. I'm so proud of him but I just...it makes me so sad, too.

That's the only thing I don't like either. I don't mind the breastmilk poops or the pee but my older son loves fruit and eats tons of it so his poops never just roll off into the toilet. I've been so happy that he's started pooping on the potty over the last few days.

I'm fixing to put mine up for sale on DS. It is okay, I guess. Just as easy IMO to stick it n the potty and swish. I could see how it might be easy and convenient but when I wash diapers off, he is typically at my heels and he wants to play with the sprayer. lol

I never swished my diapers or used a sprayer to get the poo off into the toilet. I used a flushable wipe to "scrape" off the poo (most of it anyway) into the toilet. Then put the diaper into my wet bag for wash day. Easy.

This is also pretty much what I do.
I tried a flushable liner in the nappy, but poor little Maddie got a really bad nappy rash from it... Unfortunately.

I find that liners work well for me. I wouldn't like to be scraping nappies either. Sometimes we get poo outside the liner, and I scrub the nappy before I soak it. It's not the most fun in the world.

I have a question. Yesterday at uni we used cloth for the first time YAY. So my question is, when you are away from home for extended periods of time with no laundry facilities, how do you store your nappies until you get home. I just used a plastic bag yesterday, but ideally I'd like something that will contain the smell. Any tips? I'm glad we've been trying these fancy nappies, I don't want to attempt to use terries at uni.

My peapod nappies seem to fit now, but one wee and they still leak! I don't know what more to do. They've been washed heaps, but they didn't hold anything in. Thankfully I have my itti bitti and my haute.
