CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I would be in that 95% that does not, I read but do not post because I do not want to argue and also I was waiting and hoping that things would be better when the new owner actually took over and made some changes. I no longer feel, at this time, that things are going to get better. I also do not like being talked to like I am a child and I realize that some acted that way on both sides, but I don't think that is any reason to talk down to everyone in a demeaning manner. (I am trying very hard here to say how I feel without breaking the current rules, although I'm not sure that is really possible.) I have not, to my knowledge, ever had a post reported since joining so I don't think I can be considered a trouble maker, but my heart is sick over all that is going on and it looks like I will not be able to return as an active poster on CF as things currently stand.
I wish you all well and do pray that I am wrong and things will change and be a place where I would once again feel comfortable posting.to you all!

I don't see anything to stay here for at this point. I want nothing to do with this forum as it stands right now and for what it's now turning into with a loose SOF & guidelines where everyone miraculously changes their minds every other week & gets new revelations.
I'll stand with my other friends elsewhere in [supposedly] greener pastures & if this area changes for the better, I'll probly sign back in then...

Look at that list. What great times we had. Thanks for the memories you guys! It was a blast. An awesome, wonderful once in a lifetime place. We had Camelot here for one brief shining moment.
