Just offering a word of caution. Before being diagnosed Bi-Polar I found having a drink pulled me out of a low mood. I also found having too many drinks made me manic. Then I found out my body doesn't process alcohol like normal people's bodies and that I had alcoholism. That meant I couldn't drink. I was given meds after being diagnosed Bi-Polar and told not to drink anything while taking these meds. I know this isn't news to most who are already diagnosed with Bi-Polar, but if you're having Bi-Polar episodes and you do drink, you might want to look at your drinking too. Being sober in AA has helped me a lot with my Bi-Polar and life in general. I'm not suggesting everyone shouldn't drink. If it causes any problems for you, then it could eliminate many painful experiences in your life to quit. I had to have God and AA to make that possible for me. I take my Bi-Polar meds also.
God bless all.
