I see that for many non Catholic brothers and sisters, they are willing to accept any scripture in a literal sense if it suits their beliefs but automatically refuse to believe any literal scripture that is put forward regarding Catholic beliefs! Strange indeed!

I have to agree with you.

They have been brought up in a Catholic hate atmosphere. They refuse to believe any Catholic. They refuse to see the truth that is right in front of them. It is indeed, very sad.

Blessings

It's an ingrained visceral anti-Catholic thing. To them we simply have to be all wrong. So for example John 6 can't be literal because that would be Catholic.

18 We know that everyone who has God as his Father does not go on sinning; on the contrary, the Son born of God protects him, and the Evil One does not touch him.

19 We know that we are from God, and that the whole world lies in the power of the Evil One.

20 And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us discernment, so that we may know who is genuine; moreover, we are united with the One who is genuine, united with his Son Yeshua the Messiah. He is the genuine God and eternal life.

21 Children, guard yourselves against false gods!

It was actually a rhetorical question. I already knew you couldn’t.
Go to World Christian Encyclopedia ( Oxford University Press ) quotes there are 33000 (I thought their list had been updated to 55000 , so if I am incorrect I apologize ). I add every independent Christian who is not part off a church . As to the differences in doctrine can be refer to their list and Googled each denomination doctrine .So yes I can prove the stats and that they teach different interpretations .

There is 90% of doctrine we can agree on as you writing above indicates and is common sense to you as it is to me . We are discussing some Catholic Doctrine and how Catholic defend it . That is why the Catholic Church teaches you are fully Christian and saved. I as a Catholic do not always get that same recognition/respect and I am will to stand up and defend my Church . Most people have no clue what the Church teaches and are ignorant . I am hear to challenge and be challenged. Never condemn a fellow Christian .

You went to the to the wrong web sight then because it does not say that, so you are not telling the truth. We have Many Rites in the Catholic Church which hold the same beliefs and doctrine , our eastern Catholic Churches which and being martyred in the middle east . They hold to Catholic doctrine. We have Catholic Churchs from every Country on earth which are unique such as Egyptian Coptic ......so these rites are in full unity .There are some that broke away , like protestants , Like the Old Catholic Church which are the few . They no longer hold to Catholic doctrine or excommunicated .

It was actually a rhetorical question. I already knew you couldn’t.

If you really want to know just how many different Protestant,non-denominational, Bible only, non-Catholic sects there are in the world........ Go pick up a phone book of the city you live, and go to the Christian church section of the yellow pages. Count how many different Non-Catholic, Non-Orthodox, Protestant,non-denominational, Bible only churches/sects, there are. Then multiply that with every City, Town, and Village throughout the Globe. After you have done this, what number do you think you'd come up with? One hundred? One thousand? Tens of Thousands? Keep in mind, this number wouldn't account for the all churches/sects that are not listed, that hold their services in school gyms, Hall's, private homes, garages, ect. If you don't have access to a phone book,(or know what one is) Googling Christian churches in your city would most likely give the same results.

Well then why don't you post a link to this list of 55,000 denominations? (I think we all know why) Seriously, my friend, at some point you need to stop believing everything the RCC bloggers spoon feed you and just turn directly to God for the truth. Trust me, it's very liberating to realize why the curtain was torn in half.
