Context. Read my post which you replied to in the context of what I was replying to. Then let me know.Re look at my previous post on Purgatory .I thought I did a good job on proving it .Brake down my argument then .
Even when you give a good argument it is rejected and passed off instead of being refuted . I am doing this so someone will see that we do have a good argument and may change their mind or take a second look . They hate the Catholic Church , I love them .
You can't see what you absolutely refuse to believe.
I think it is very annoying for them. Especially that we claim Scriptural support for purgatory. To their minds such a thing is too crazy to be possible. So for them it's simply just not possible. Like a square circle or something. Anybody can believe anything based on what they think Scripture says, but let an uppity Catholic dare to use Scripture to come to a conclusion other than theirs and it is of course all wrong. And we have to be put in our places.
THEY SHOULD READ JOHN 6 , WERE ALL HIS DISCIPLES LEFT HIM EXCEPT FOR THE 12I see that for many non Catholic brothers and sisters, they are willing to accept any scripture in a literal sense if it suits their beliefs but automatically refuse to believe any literal scripture that is put forward regarding Catholic beliefs! Strange indeed!
It's an ingrained visceral anti-Catholic thing. To them we simply have to be all wrong. So for example John 6 can't be literal because that would be Catholic.I see that for many non Catholic brothers and sisters, they are willing to accept any scripture in a literal sense if it suits their beliefs but automatically refuse to believe any literal scripture that is put forward regarding Catholic beliefs! Could you provide a list of those 55k and in what ways they contradict each other? Or are you just making things up now?[/QUOT
I could but it would take me forever . Google it

This is known by every historian, religious or not.It is totally a made up dogma by the RCC which they incorporated from Greeks like Plato.
18 We know that everyone who has God as his Father does not go on sinning; on the contrary, the Son born of God protects him, and the Evil One does not touch him.refuse to believe any literal scripture that is put forward regarding Catholic beliefs! Strange indeed!
Go to World Christian Encyclopedia ( Oxford University Press ) quotes there are 33000 (I thought their list had been updated to 55000 , so if I am incorrect I apologize ). I add every independent Christian who is not part off a church . As to the differences in doctrine can be refer to their list and Googled each denomination doctrine .So yes I can prove the stats and that they teach different interpretations .It was actually a rhetorical question. I already knew you couldn’t.
There is 90% of doctrine we can agree on as you writing above indicates and is common sense to you as it is to me . We are discussing some Catholic Doctrine and how Catholic defend it . That is why the Catholic Church teaches you are fully Christian and saved. I as a Catholic do not always get that same recognition/respect and I am will to stand up and defend my Church . Most people have no clue what the Church teaches and are ignorant . I am hear to challenge and be challenged. Never condemn a fellow Christian .18 We know that everyone who has God as his Father does not go on sinning; on the contrary, the Son born of God protects him, and the Evil One does not touch him.
19 We know that we are from God, and that the whole world lies in the power of the Evil One.
20 And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us discernment, so that we may know who is genuine; moreover, we are united with the One who is genuine, united with his Son Yeshua the Messiah. He is the genuine God and eternal life.
21 Children, guard yourselves against false gods!
1 John 5
Your source only list 299 protestant denominations. That leaves you 54,701 short. Ironically, it splits Catholicism 41 ways.World Christian Encyclopedia

Did this refer to you/ from you ? >There is 90% of doctrine we can agree on
Well then why don't you post a link to this list of 55,000 denominations? (I think we all know why) Seriously, my friend, at some point you need to stop believing everything the RCC bloggers spoon feed you and just turn directly to God for the truth. Trust me, it's very liberating to realize why the curtain was torn in half. You went to the to the wrong web sight then because it does not say that, so you are not telling the truth. We have Many Rites in the Catholic Church which hold the same beliefs and doctrine , our eastern Catholic Churches which and being martyred in the middle east . They hold to Catholic doctrine. We have Catholic Church from every Country on earth which are unique such as Egyptian Coptic ......so these rites are in full unity .There are some that broke away , like protestants , Like the Old Catholic Church which are the few . They no longer hold to Catholic doctrine or excommunicated .
