Did His Holiness condemn the "Church of scientology" in Hollywood?

I need verifiable evidence or written decree of this to make sure my facts are correct.

I don't think the Catholic Church says anything about what the Chruch of Scientology is . . . why would it?

If one is interested in this, wouldn't it be better to ask the Church of Scientology what it is and how it defines itself?

I don't consider the "Church of scientology" to be a valid religion. But a belief of this age and new-age modernism.

If you check your Vatican and Catholic sources, I'm sure you will find a statement from Benedict XVI on the "Church of Scientology."

As I said, I'm not aware of there being anything from the Pope or the Church addressing this. Again, why would there be? After all, the Catholic Church isn't in the business of making statements about/addressing every single "church" and/or denomination. That's not the function of the Church.

I agree. Rome doesn't bother with a social fad that has no real bearing on the world. I am sure that the blanket statements rome has made over the years on cults and such is inclusive of this joke of a group.

I'm sure the holy father has better things to do than address Scientology. If the Pope had to address every heretical group that popped up in North America he wouldn't have time to do anything else. You won't find an official statement on the Mormons, one of the bigger groups, beyond stating that their baptisms are not valid.

Scientology is another cult. I notice they incorporated the symbol of the cross in their logo. Very deceptive.
