I am sorry, but I call a spade a spade. If she just wanted to hold a creationist view, I'd have no problem. But a willingness to proclaim multiple popes anathema rather than allow a divergent opinion into the room is TOXIC and well deserving to be used as an example of fundamentalism.

Considering that God is not in time, and we are, anything God does is outside of time, yet to us, appears in time. So it is our failure of language failing to explain God (again), that appears to be the problem.
I suggest you stop trying to divide people, as long as we all believe that God created everything. Even the Genesis accounts do not show everything happening in an instant. The first one shows day 1, day 2, day 3, day 4, day 5, day 6, day 7. First (not in an instant) God created the universe. Then God created light and dark. Etc. It was a projection in time.

old hat - this has been debated and discussed many times over the centuries and the unanimous decision of the fathers of the Chuch applies as understood as and by 'simul et ex nihilo' = in an instant out of nothing in each of 6 x 24hr days - twinc
