Catholic Church??

Just read this and realised that that is about the same as the protestant church - at least the one I go to.

I wondered wot you think people think is the Catholic church and wot it really is (if that makes sense?)??

Sheen refers to all the people who hate the Mary-worshipping, Jesus-resacrificing, praying to statues Church.

If they knew what the Church truly was, the Bride and Body of Jesus Christ , only a few would still spew such hatred.

The Catholic church believes the Nicene Creed:



We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,

We do not worship Mary or the Saints
We do not worship idols
We do not resacrifice Jesus at every Mass
We are not the harlot of Babylon
The Pope is not the Antichrist
We did not suppress the truth of the Bible
We do nothing to contradict scripture
the list goes on.............

ARchbishop Fulton Sheen was speaking of the Catholic Church headed by the Pope . .what many call the Roman Catholic Church . . And he was speaking of how it is so misunderstood that what people hate about it is not what it really is, but what they think it is . . . here is his quote:

"There are not more than 100 people in the world who truly hate the Catholic Church, but there are millions who hate what they perceive to be the Catholic Church."

And I have found it to be very true . . those who really understand the Catholic Church and hate it, turn away form it are very, very, very few indeed!
