CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

bad news - my ex doesn't wannt to give up the cat because my son is too attached to him - both dogs have been put down since the separation.

The KungFu is hilarious.
The worst thing I ever saw a cat do was .. we had this cat who had some sort of problem never did figure out what it was..... he was slow or something. But, one day he was running full speed across the yard and leapped to jump into the oak tree in front of the house (had done it a million times) only this time, forgot to put his arms out and catch the tree..... head first into the tree, and bounced off shuck his head dazed and ran off to do some other ridiculous thing.
Needless to say that cat didn't have a long life, he had to have some sort of neuro problem but that was the worst thing I ever saw and he acted like it was nothing.

IMO
cats are God's perfect creation.
we could learn a thing or two from them- like how to take things in stride and one day at a time.
and then there's the snow leopard- there are no other creatures that can match it's majestic.
