I need something like that in my home. I work a lot which is why I have two female cats. As a general rule, females can handle separation anxiety better than male cats, as females are more independent. I work a lot so I can't always be with my cats away from home, naturally. When I come home both of them are waiting for me and I have the tradition of giving them treats when I come into the house. But we all have to work for a living and owning a dog at this time in my life is an impossibility as I am not home enough to take care of a dog. So female cats are best for my lifestyle.
