I just heard this band has 8 nominations for the Dove Awards including best new artists. How many do you actually think they will win? I certainly love their song "We are the body". However I really, really love Todd Agnew too though and his "grace like rain" cd! Still Casting Crowns is just one solid band with great music and great lyrics! Anyway I'll take a wild guess and say they'll win at least 4 Doves!

For the categories and nominees for the Dove awards which will be held on April 28th check their site out!

Yes, I guess the info I first heard was wrong. Looks like your right, they only have 5 nominations. Still that's quite a bit for a new band!

Donut? I beg to differ! I believe Mark Hall will win the songwriter of the year, the song "who am I" is just so beautifully written. I think Casting Crowns will win the best new artists category although like I said before, I think Todd Agnew is great and may win this award but I got to give the edge to CCs. Also I do believe CCs will win the best pop/cont. recorded song of the year plus song of the year. So my original guess will stand at 4. :)

I have to agree that Jeremy Camp is good too! Still I give the edge to CCs ;)

I say jeremy camp is going to win.
switchfoot better win band of the year or it will just boost my claim that the dove picker people are a bunch of old farts who don't know anything about music in todays society.
If Jeremy Camp wins I wont be surprised. I really do like him but don't you be surprised is CC wins :) they are good too you know???
