So I'm feeling a little lost within my own denomination. I'm a member of the New York Annual Conference, and last month our bishop, Bishop McLee (who had been on medical leave since the summer) passed away. While he was on leave we had one interim bishop, who was with us until the end of September. We now have another interim bishop (who, strangely enough had been our bishop many years ago) until the end of the year at which point we will have a 3rd bishop appointed to us until August 31, 2016 (which would have coincided with Bishop McLee's first 4-year assignment to our conference).
For those who've been around the denomination for awhile or maybe are more well versed than I am, has this happened before to you or other areas you know about? Is it normal to feel a little lost when this happens? I just feel like there are so many things up in the air and no one really knows what is going on and how it affects things like district or conference programs, charge conferences (which are in full swing around here), and of course appointment season.
At any rate, even if no one can answer the above, if you could keep our conference in prayer during this continual state of flux it would be appreciated!
