So, since we're all in our thirties here... has everybody settled on a career yet? I'm sad to say that I never figured out what to do with my life. However, I believe God will show me some things and get me going in the right direction sooner or later!

Sort of...I've been working in the field of education for over 10 years now, but my specific job title has changed several times .

Same here.

If I could give advice to high school graduates, it would be to go to college only if you plan on studying something that you're truly interested in. You shouldn't go just because it seems like "the next step" in life.

Thankfully, God hooked me up with a great local company where many of my family members worked and where my cousin still works. Things could be much worse.

I'm in the same boat. I have no idea what to do with my life. I have a university degree in history but that's not very practical in the 'real world'. Currently I do IT helpdesk.

Thanks for all your comments. I never got a degree of any kind in all these years... I have 70-some-odd college credits under my belt, but I never figured out what I wanted to do. For the last 13 years I've worked for a company that allowed me to move away from home and go off on my own. I've been on my own for a decade now but I still worry about not finding a real career, or what would happen if I lost my job.

The key, I suppose, is to keep praying and working towards something.

I only finished a year of college, intent on getting a degree in music and/or history. I've been working in childcare for the last 10 years LOL

I'm going to be 30 tomorrow, and I do not know what to do myself for a career. I am in retail, but I would like something that I could actually support myself with as a viable career. I am married, but I do worry if something were to ever happen how would I support myself?

I just pray about it a lot and keep hoping!

I am not opposed to going back to college, its just simply the problem of what to go back for?

I've settled on a career in finance but will I still be doing it in my 40's - who knows?!
