I have started something this week that I want to share with others!
I was at Hobby Lobby this week and found some bible verse cards called God's Promises and a devotional CD by Priscilla Shirer (I don't know too much about her yet, but I have heard about her on K-love). I knew the CD was definitely for my car. So far, so good. This CD is $5 at Hobby Lobby. Last minute, I decided to leave the box of cards in my car too. It's a great way to sneak an extra verse in. Plus, you can pass those out to people to encourage them too!
If you don't get to read in the mornings, you have a card. If you don't read until night, you have your little slice of Bible with you. If you're stuck at Starbucks in the line for 10 min, you can listen to your devotional or podcast. Those pesky traffic jams/stops just got more fun too! Our worship/faith/relationship with God is to-go. To go everywhere with us. We don't just leave it in the Bible on the night stand or sign off after Sunday service. In lieu of cards and CD, you could always do a podcast and even leave a devotional book in your car for those days you want some scripture. Or, on your phone. I just wanted a little extra to go along my day (literally!).
My mom found the cards and thought it was a pack of cigarettes. I was almost grounded, yall. Just kidding, I'm 32, and I'll smoke what I want! Kidding again. I don't smoke and I hope you don't either.
