Appearance: Conrad is lean, but with some muscle. He cheerfully deceptive blue eyes, a wry, dashing sort of smile, and dark brown hair that hangs in a pony tail behind his head. He's most often seen wearing a ruffled fencing shirt, sailor's breeches tied at the waist, and a simple looking rapier hanging at his left side. Above all, he has a frame obviously built more for agility than brute strength.
Personality: His brashness sometimes gets him in trouble. He's unnecessarily cocky, especially when on the ocean and will often take on the largest ship he can find in nothing but a canoe. On land, he's somewhat more reserved being out of his element, but not much, and his courage has been known to land him in many a barfight.
Occupation: Depends on who you ask. To some, he's a pirate scoundrel, to others, a mercenary with no concept of allegiance, but to himself, merely a businessman.
Alignment: Conrad believes firmly that he fights for his own morality, seeking to become a sort of Robin Hood of the seas.
Background: Not much is known about him except that he began as a worker on a slave ship sailing along the Middle Passage. The work was hard and dirty, but he took his pay without complaint until a storm left him shipwrecked on a small island south of present day Cuba. He eventually found work on a sugar plantation and became familiar with many of the slaves, so much so that he befriended many of them. He eventually helped lead a slave revolt on the island and has since supposedly turned to piracy to punish the European colonizers for the slave trade. The handsome pay he gets from a life of crime makes things a little easier for him, as well, and many doubt if he really even cares about the slaves in the first place.
As mentioned before, he wears a rapier on his left side and is quite familiar with its usage. He also carries a flintlock pistol in his belt that he uses only in emergencies.
