Hello,

If I could get some help with this, it would really be appreciated. I've noticed that my signature has a picture in it from photobucket that is not showing up. I went to go change my signature to get rid of it, and when I do, it tells me I can't do it because: Your signature cannot be longer than 1000 characters including BB code markup.

I don't understand how it could be more characters if I am trying to take it off of my signature??

What's a BB code markup?

When I can get rid of that picture/non-picture, I would like to put this in its place:

url

I'd be grateful for any advice that can help me with this problem. Thanks bunches. Blessings, MeekOne

I'm guessing this is what happened:

Since the image no longer shows up, you won't see anything there in the WYSIWYG editor, but switching to the standard editor (A/A icon top right of editor) would show the BBCode markup for the image (the [tag] stuff).

Try that, or I can wipe your whole signature for you if you'd prefer that.

Thanks, Adrian, but I have no idea what you are trying to tell me. Do not know how to switch to standard editor, or what to do from there. Please no matter what you do.....please do not wipe out my whole signature. I happen to like what's left.

Can you please break your instructions down to laymen's terms for me? Thanks.

Sure :)

Look at the image below, if you click on the icon I circled, it will toggle the editor mode between "WYSIWYG" (what you see is what you get) versus a simple text editor where you have to manually enter the bbcode.

The code for images is , but if the image doesn't load then you will not see anything while in WYSIWYG mode, so switching to to the other mode will allow you to remove it. The broken image code is probably taking up a lot of your allowed characters.

Let me know if you need further clarification.

Hi again, Adrian.

Thanks for trying to break it down for me. I really do appreciate that. :) I did what you told me and switched the mode to text editor mode, and removed the text which included the pic that's not showing up, but it still gives me a message saying:

  1. Your signature cannot be longer than 1000 characters including BB code markup.
I just don't get it, there must be something glitching somewhere. Please let me know if you have another solution. Thanks again. MeekOne

...bumpity....bumpity....bump....bump.... ...again...

Is there another solution? It is not working as it is designed...I can't get a pic off my siggy without receiving this message:

Your signature cannot be longer than 1000 characters including BB code markup.

is that how it was designed?

Here is your current signature. It looks over 1000 characters to me.

Okay, that's fine, but why can't I get rid of one of the pictures without it saying that? It already had everything I've had on it before and didn't have a problem displaying it...so it may be over, but it continues to keep it there, and I cannot get rid of it. I don't want to wipe out my whole signature. Just the last picture which is not showing up. It makes no sense, really. Can you please give me a better solution? :)
