Are there any Canadians in here who are enrolled in an American college? Please post if you're are. I am currently living in NJ and am applying to various grad school in the east coast and am wondering what the F-1 entails.

You need a letter of acceptance from the college to get a F1. Most have a foreign student area I'd ask for. It may have changed since I was there, but the foreign department will be your best bet.

Yeah, I've heard about the F-1 and I recently met with an admission's counsellor at one of the schools I'm applying to who gave me the same information. Did you go to school in the states? If so, where?

I am looking at American colleges too. The whole process looks too overwhelming for me! I don't know even where to start.
