CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I don't think there's currently a way to change names.
But for future reference, if the three spots at the bottom of the egg are on the left, it's a boy; if they're on the right, it's a girl.

We have been requesting the name change feature for a while now.
Unfortunately, that trick with the egg is only accurate after the egg has been created. The sample egg that shows when you are making it is not guaranteed to be the one that you get in the end.
Another trick is the color of the spots is the color of your pet. Again, after it is created.

Yes, if they allow it
But all your pet information is held in the database, and it's just a simple SQL Query to change the Name / Gender / Color / ect.
Under the Admin Panel for Pets, you can adjust everything about a pet.
The Type, Name, ID, Gender, Color, Moral, DOB, ect ..

yeah...but for that you would need an admin panel 
I know there is a function but it's not switched on so long the pets will just have to live with the names what I suggest is give your pet a neutral name - solves the problem as well

I'm sorry to say that I'm voting for them to not activate that option. That would make SOOOOOO much more extra work for the pet workers to do. Its hard enough keeping up with all of the ownership changes as it is. Adding pet name changes on top of that would probably make all of my hair fall out.
