• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

We all have a sinful nature. Is it possible that there are people who are too evil to receive salvation?

Bro, everyone by nature before conversion has an imputed sin nature from adam and no one deserves salvation but by Gods grace many will be saved and you can be assured that Gods grace is greater than any evil which resides inside of a person.

You cannot be too evil for God to save you, the bible promises that ALL who come to Jesus will be saved, there is NO ifs, ands or buts in this, those who come to Jesus Christ for salvation in true repentance will be saved. This promise is absolutely essential to our faith (otherwise we have no basis for our salvation), we cannot doubt that when the Lord was on the cross He took all the sin of mankind:

"He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world." (1 John 2:2)

All the sin of man is covered by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, we are only to believe that this is true and reckon this truth to our sinful soul by faith. God's grace has already made it possible for us to be saved, our part is only to believe and receive this truth by faith and trust in Jesus Christ to save us, He alone is Saviour and Lord and as amazing as it may seem, He loves us all and died for us all.

Our thoughts (especially) if you have OCD try to pervert the truth of scripture by infusing doubts that seem to be so monumental that they must be true. OCD redirects our natural anxiety and turns into a pressings and demanding stronghold in our lives. The truth though is not to be found in our thoughts but in the thoughts of God, His word promises us salvation and this is our firm foundation. Feelings, thoughts and worries are not to be relied on concerning our salvation, salvation is found in Christ alone through faith alone, we believe HIM and trust HIM over our thoughts, feelings and impulses and doubts. He is trustworthy, His word is trustworthy and the sacrifice of Christ is eternally trustworthy for ALL who believe.

Blessings.

And look at a Biblical example. Paul killed many Christians, but God still gave him salvation. I know what it's like to have random thoughts like, "the devil is neat" pop into your head. And, yes, science has confirmed that it does, indeed, suck. (Not really. I just share your opinion.) :)
