  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Sanctification takes place in the life of a believer conforming one to the image of Christ but under no circumstance does anyone ever attain "Sinless Perfection" whereby they can live this present life without sinning.
I am thinking of a sort of fortunate people, who from young, knew wisdom and presence and power, like John, Peter and Paul the Apostles, and perhaps St Francis, and perhaps John Wesley and such like. When very old, there was not much sin there.

I find that the older I get, the more I recognize my sins. We know that Jesus said we are to love God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength. If ever we are tempted to imagine that sinless perfection if possible in this life, we just need to ask ourselves if we can love God that way every moment, every day of our lives. Also "not much sin" is not the same as "sinless."

Paul died to himself daily and bore all the fruit of the Spirit and operated in all the spiritual gifts. He so was powerful in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. He was master over his fears with reverence, and had faith and love concerning leaving his body behind. Paul spoke of his body and the nature of sin and death, but expressed and was great in resurrection power. Romans 8. He had regular knowledge input from God and knew what to think, say and do...

That is true, but Paul also continued to sin. He wrote:

“18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but [how] to perform what is good I do not find. 19 For the good that I will [to do], I do not do; but the evil I will not [to do], that I practice.” (Ro 7:18-19 NKJV)

Chapter 7 of Romans is followed by 8 which starts with there is now no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus. And the power of the resurrection quickens his mortal body. And Paul grew and approached his death at around 66 AD.

Yes, there is no condemnation for those in Christ, because their sins have been nailed to His cross - He has taken the punishment for them. Paul in talking about no condemnation is not referring to sinlessness.

It's possible that some or certain kinds of sins could or can be a risk to your salvation or loss of rewards maybe.

And no individual is going to judged exactly the same each individually, etc.

And this is the truth, etc.

What you think it might depend on for each individual person individually one can speculate, but not ever really truly know until we are all standing before Him on Judgement Day, etc.

So for now, any and all sin can be a risk maybe, etc.

And we'd all do well to keep that in mind, as it will keep us all in our proper perspectives for now and until Judgement Day, etc.

God Bless.
