Again - because of the size constraint I think those are out - because at that size you really can't see clearly what they are

What is interesting is that this cross was originally used exclusivley by the Pope. In order to show unity he granted the hierarchs of the East the right to use the cross and ever since it has been used in East and West. The top bar represents the name placard above Christ.

the maltese cross was also used by crusader knights right?
that is the problem with the Jerusalem Cross, some of the Crusaders used it

Perhaps all this fuss among folks of the same faith community help sway the techs not to give us icons.

Well I guess it is okay to be without an icon. Our faith tradition is displayed and that is helpful and it is enough. It removes the issue we started this thread to address.

May be a moot point, but Cross Potent and Jerusalem Cross aren't the same thing.
