Orthodoxy is a lot to explain in a sentence or two, but in short it is the Church that has its roots in the teachings and traditions of the Apostles and their successors. If that sounds cliche, then explore a little and see why so many people (I am a convert myself) are flocking back to the Ancient Faith. I hope you don't mind the links you are being given, just some people are better at explaining things than many of us will ever be able too, and it saves us reinventing the wheel, so to speak .

I think we have run into each other before in these parts. (seems to me there was a question about "punks" in church). Glad to see you at TAW. I can't really add much to what the others have said. I too am a convert. Please feel free to ask questions. There are some people here who are really quite good at specific topics. I would also strongly recommend that you find an Orthodox Church in your area where you could attend either a vespers service (evening prayers) or The Divine Liturgy.
