I think that is "logic" in a more colloquial sense. The laws that underpin formal logic are indeed axiomatic because their negations entail contradictions.

As Teddy said, you're speaking of logic in the colloquial sense (meaning "critical thinking" or "rigorous intellectual discipline"). "Logic" in the philosophical sense, which is the set of rules that define the relationships between true propositions, cannot be taught because unless the student already knows the rules of logic, he cannot even comprehend speech. For the same reason, it can't be derived from inductive or any other kind of evidence.
