Can I share my weekend so far?

I've just had a great weekend & I wanted to share with you guys! First of all, we got rid of our daughter... ...er, I mean, I miss her terribly! (She's staying with my DH's parents until Sunday)

So, last night DH and I went to Home Depot & Lowe's to buy stuff for the house, like light fixtures & ceiling fans, then we went to dinner at an authentic Mexican restaurant...local..and when I say "authentic", I mean that I think we were the only people in there who's first language was English! It was so cool...they had a guy singing Mexican songs, everyone was singing along & laughing & clapping...not to mention the food was great!

Today I got to pamper myself & got my nails done, shopped for some goodies for Andie to take on our Kentucky trip next week, then back home & DH & I hung the celiing fans & light fixtures...then I took a long, hot bath & DH brought me a glass of wine to help me relax....

It's been a nice & relaxing weekend...how has everyone else's been going?

Ahhhhh to get rid of my kids for the whole weekend would be great but I will keep dreaming

I really needed a break today......my 3 yr old Payton was a holy terror But I still love'em! I keep saying "this too shall pass"

I wish I could say my weekend was going good but I am a single parent to a behavior disordered 12 year old that is pretty mean and violent a lot of the time. Weekends seem to drag on forever because he is not in school. Don't ever feel bad about getting away from your kids! What I go through with my child goes way beyond normal parenting disipline problems. My weekends tend to be the time I offer up to God, because no one in their right mind would be able to tolerate this child without the grace of God, and believe me... God gets me through each and every weekend ... Keep me in your prayers please.

Glad you had a fun and deserving one Andiesmama.Mines been hellish but it will get better once the Dad gets back.My 14 yr old is brain injured/autism-quite the week without the Dad here as he had to go home to a funeral and took some time with family.I think I've had several hundred dollars worth of broken items by now.Oh,and a bird got out thanks to my son but we got her back.

This next weekend I'm going to Vail by myself for a few nights.

I think a few days in Vail are well-deserved...what do you like to do there? I've never been...
