Blessing to you all :)
I was wandering..
can dreams we see come true?
we use to see many dreams BUT there are some dreams that stays in our memory.

So... Can Dreams be a vision of things that will take place in the future?
or just something we see while we are sleeping?

Yes, they can come true, if they are of the Lord.

Jesus said that the Holy Spirit would guide us into all truth, and that he would show us things to come.

Additionally, we see many times that the apostles and other preachers in the book of Acts and other books mention having dreams and visions of God telling them where to go to preach, and in many cases who to talk to.

As a matter of fact, in the book of Acts, Peter quotes the book of Joel, which states.

"It shall come to pass in teh last days, says God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh. Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy and your young men shall see visions and your old men shall dream dreams. On my servants and handmaidens I will pour our in those days of my Spirit and they shall prophesy." Acts 2:17-18.

Notice a couple things.

God says "in the last days".
Well, we are STILL in the "last days". If 33 a.d. was the "last days", then we are today in the "last days."

God says "servants and handmains".
Notice, God is not sexist. He says both male and female will prophesy. "prophesy" can refer both to "preaching" and to "the act of giving a prophetic utterance or vision".

So Joel 2 and Acts 2 say the same thing. God has always used Dreams and Visions since long before the "Bible" was ever even written, and he has spoken to both male and female alike. See Deborah and Huldah in the Bible, among others.

Paul also said that the various gifts of the Spirit are given until we come in unity of the faith and knowledge of God, which is really only going to happen at the Resurrection. So, the offices of Apostle all the way down to the lowest member of the Church (which the Apostle is both the highest and the lowest,) and whether Gifts of tongues or healings or miracles or discerning of Spirits, all of these offices and callings and gifts remain right up to the second coming and the "First Resurrection".

Beyond specifically holy and prophetic dreams, your dreaming mind can sometimes have a better grasp of what's likely to happen than your waking mind.

I remember a dream where a black and white rat (cute little guy, and in this dream just about my only friend) ran back along my arms and through my cupped hands, chirping out about how in a few months I'd be on the work shift I wanted, and some other things. These all came to pass. The dream then went on to other, intrapsychic stuff that was a lot more important but here-and-now. In fact, the whole tone of the dream was downbeat, and I remember thinking that the little guy's forecasts were irrelevant.

Not often that a rat can teach you to be optimistic!

The Lord is outside time, not limited to it. If He wants to go into the future, tear out that page of that moment, and insert it into our dreams in order to speak to us, to communicate that He is near, that He is in control, or that we need to make changes, it is not a challenge to Him.

I remember one dream that has remained with me till this day. Several months before Desert Storm took place, I had a dream of being in a desert. This was long before the invasion of Kuwait. When the news flashed that Kuwait had been invaded, I knew we were going there. The dream, however, was highly symbolic of how many things would seek to snuff out my life, but in each instance, God was faithful to keep me. That dream kept me strong in the hard times, and I believe it wasn't just a dream for that time, it was a dream for all of my life.

When He gives a dream, there is no question about its origin or potential to impact us. Most dreams,I suspect, are not from Him, though they may offer meaning or glimpses of understanding about our lives, our hearts, our motives, what we regret, what we wish for, etc.

I look forward to reading about your dreams.

MANY of mine have- which I think spooks my dh. It's not always exactly how the dream always happens though. There are plenty of them where 'pieces' of the dream eventually come to happen. Sometimes I have a hard time deciphering where my dreams originate from or who to speak with them about, so I have been more guarded about details.

Although I believe talking to God should be your first answer, I think posting here helps too. :)

Dreams can predict the future. I wouldn't say it if I didn't experience it myself at times. My own were nothing big, but the fact I dreamed of something and later it happens while I'm awake means they probably predicted something.

yeah :thumbsup:i get what you say!
thanks for sharing your answer!
