  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I guess it depends on what one is working towards?

I would like to know how they couldn’t work together if salvation is what the "Churches" are trying to achieve?

All we need to be in agreence on is that Jesus Christ is the savior of the world.

St. Frances of Assi said to "Preach the gospel at all times, only use words when necessary."

"Churches" can work together successfully to advance salvation through out the world by example, bring Christ to others. "They will know we are Christians by our love."

I'd have to agree. Catholic, Baptist, Methodist, and Presbyterian Churches in my area work together to provide food and shelter during the winter months. The Room at the Inn project uses either the sanctuary or a meeting room as a place for homeless to sleep one night a week: a different Church for each day of the week. They are given a dinner the night they arrive, breakfast when they wake up, and a bag lunch for the afternoon. They even provide transportation to classes where the homeless in town can learn to read, or learn a trade. It is truly beautiful to see the various congregations in the area working together towards a common goal.

God Bless,

Neal

I voted Yes.

I think they should work together, espicailly when necessary.
After all diffrent people make Catholic donations, thers nothing wrong with that.
Many peple attened denominational Chruches that aren't their own.

Help people, both the same and diffrent.
